chip upgrades

Is there anyone out there who has had chip upgrade on their V8.I've got a 2001 GT and would like to know the pros and cons.All I've done so far is have ITG air filters fitted, during a routine service.

MR. PFEFFER-did you notice any increase in boost pressure with Johan's chip? I understand that the chip only removes the full boost limiters in 1-3 gears. No real increase in boost.

Don't think so - Rob C has Johan chip in his sport 350. The sport 350 already had the boost restriction removed in gears 2 onwards. Rob reckons he's now pushing out in excess of 400bhp

As far as I know - yes although I think he also has straight through exhausts. Drop him an email - he's very helpful.
