Looks fantastic! It wasn't the one from Oakmere was it? I had a drive of the car and thought it was fantastic

Mine too is going to be a slow burn (despite me getting 2blar exhaust, and vinyls within the first week of owenership)

Good luck with keeping it a slow burn!

It was! Annoyingly, snows have one now, higher miles but newer and has the forged wheels!

Always the way! I went for a white V6 they had in stock - kind of wish I had gone for yours now as the linkage is worse than I anticipated in the V6.

I drove very carefully on my test drive in case you were worried;)

It's easier not to worry! It's built to take it I say... as long as you drive it well and not hard if that makes sense?

I'm amazed at my car - it feels really well built. No rattles / squeaks that are prevalent on my new Civic Type R.

Feels built for purpose like you say. That's a fair drive to Oakmere! I could have driven it down for you on an extended test-drive!

So is this your daily?

I concur! Solid car, bar the idiot who put the roof back on, wind noise on passenger side front

( it was me... )

Yeah, it's my daily :) Just working out a few things as I go, the lights really aren't that bad!

Just need to read the book on how to turn the interior light on at night, pitch black trying to get in is no fun!

Save doing the steering wheel for winter when you’re driving the car less.

congrats on finally buying one!

I drive it the same all year, rain or shine. Provided D class can do it same day sorta thing it won't bother me much, be a day out and I can talk to them about other things!

It's been a long time since I posted or did anything to the car, funds being what they are lately.

A while back I bought the carbon binnacle cover and steering shrough from Yvo at Elise shop - Not being happy with the quality I never took close up pictures - from the passenger side it looks pretty good, or if you're outside the car looking in but as the driver it bugs me enough to not want to photograph it.
You'll see it in a few of the pics, but no closeups :P

Over the last few days its been hard work to keep myself occupied so I thought I'd tackle the interior colours. I checked Deroure for prices if (or when) I break anything and decided I could live with the cost of it all. Luckily it all was super easy. no horrible trim clips holding things in place, just good old fashioned screws and allen bolts.
I took off the trims as you might have seen on another thread, and painted them yellow, to match my calipers and contrast the orange. I really wanted to do the seatbelt loops also, but they are £180 to replace, and require breaking to remove. not in the mood for that and would rather put that money towards the end goal which is Tillett replacements. ANYWAYS!

Heres some crappy phone pics I took, cars dirty so you get selective angles I'm afraid.

You can wrap seat harness holes for a cheaper alternative

I might just do that to see me through. Should be an easy job for any decent wrapper I guess?? Not a seat out job I hope!

I would have thought so, I know Essex Autosport do it this way and seem to get good feedback

Dropped the car off on Monday to have the wheels refurbed after I literally ripped paint off using electrical tape a few weeks back - It had bubbles between the black and clear, so I used it to mask and highlight areas so they were easy to find once I got to the B&C to ask questions. Anyways, that ruined the finish, which was odd as electrical tape isn't exactly sticky, so I opted for a full refurb of all of them as I wanted to do it anyway!

I wanted bronze wheels, but not gold. We looked through a solid 15 swatches, and none were right - ended up googling what finish Rays TE37s are, which got us closer, then found guys doing ROTA Grids and using certain paint codes. Ended up with a Fiat 750 colour of all things. Very happy with the results, and price too.

Was done by Motura in Ferndown, for less than any other dedicated wheel place, with better finishes. Very friendly guys, with much better attitudes than any wheel place I've been to in the last 5 years.

Now to find a way to keep this bloody pollen off my car!

I didn't think I was going to like that but I do! Looks great buddy and a lovely finish.

Why no front splitter? ;)

My black wheels have silver weights - you'd think they would colour code them!

Can’t make up my mind on those wheels... it does look a good finish though.

They are very hard to capture in photos. Some times its almost pink, otherwise almost gold.

Did a tiny mod today while work was slow.

Much better having the fuel cap surround in black, and the silver contrast of the bolts is actually very nice. All it took was a bit of time to prep the part and paint it. Primer, then 5 light coats of satin black, and a coat of clear. The clear really helps avoid chips and damage.

I now have a spare surround, in silver, if anyone wants one? Bought it as spare and sprayed it while the original stayed on the car, which is now surplus.

I realised I've never added  photo of the Eltech splitter either. I never reviewed it as I'm not 100% happy but at the same time don't want to slag off Eltech.

The quality isn't up to Prodrive/OEM standards - the weave is bigger/wider and the underside hasn't been finished so it's still rough with resin. Also it's very thin, probably 3mm or less. It's not the end of the world, but if I had known the issues and effort I'd go through to get it I wouldn't bother again.

Not to everyone's tastes but had a crack at doing my tyre writing again after the fitting process ruined it. Still needs to be cleaned up and had a final coat etc, but I'm more concerned about getting a good base on all 4 and fixing it later - clouds are looming!

Don't worry, I've got some stickers coming to really piss people off too... here's a teaser.

The final result of the tyres. Happy, but hate doing it. Much easier with the wheels off, but that's even more of a pain with our driveway. Stickers to follow whenever mr postman does his job hahaha
