I hope you can come to an amicable deal. Happy to put any Lotus seller and buyer together

The Evora is brilliant by the way, if you didn't already know it? 😉

Maybe a search under unicorns will find it? And then a PM from the seller to the potential buyer.

Got it. "Chasing Evora Unicorns"

If the fella is still looking he’s found his unicorn.  Cracking looking car.

I luckily had 2 bites of the cherry when I bought mine.  I called the dealer the afternoon the ad was placed but someone had beat me to it by an hour.  I left my number and 3 weeks later the dealer called me as the buyer got cold feet due to the rising fuel prices.  I didn’t hang around then and committed over the phone, subject to a visual inspection later that week and am so happy I did.

I’ve had zero interest in my Evora which I find a bit odd as being quite rare at present. I would have thought that advertising on here would have been the right place for a Lotus enthusiast.

Looks like I’ll have to stick it on Auto Trader and/or Pistonheads to alert those  that use alerts for new cars posted.

The gold wheels will put off a huge proportion of buyers. I would have reverted them back to standard prior to putting her up for sale. I actually quite like gold wheels. I like red cars (I've had two red evoras (Ardent and Fire) but I would NOT be tempted by this colour scheme.  Just some personal feedback. Otherwise it's a cracking looking car.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

Isn’t @GrahamW’s car grey with grey wheels?

the throw away statement about the split in the dash and no clear pictures of that probably isn’t helping though. Likewise the details of the seats.

might be worth getting the latch repaired too before selling?

your advert is trying to be fair and point out the bad but it’s probably putting people off. I’m terrible with this too.

Good point. I’ll add some photos of the split etc. I just want to be honest with folks.

I think Graham W been very open and transparent additional photos are great to show buyers all the condition good or bad

i think at present it’s luck but given the cost of living now and future maybe some buyers are little hesitant now ?

I don't think the market is quite where it was at 6 months ago. Price is perhaps what might have fetched interest then, but less so now (especially with popped airbag and not having all three packs, and whatever the dashboard split is)

From monitoring the classifieds over the last few years I don’t think Evora’s are an easy sell unless priced for a quick sale. Market for Lotus is small, Evora’s even less so. I think it is one of those cars you need to be prepared to advertise for a while.

re Grahams car - it needs door lock and dash repair - whenever i am buying a used car, i assume each item costs £500 - so thats £1k extra that

Its a private sale so no warranty - that's got to be worth £2k for peace of mind in the next 12 months

so as a buyer i would now be looking and thinking almost £36k - what does that get me at a dealer?

The market has definitely slowed for 'toys'

I have my defender up for sale on autotrader - have had about 6 email enquiries in 3 wks but no viewings yet (although a couple of emails just offering me £3k less). Not desperate to sell yet as it will be funding towards the Emira  🤣

Buyers of these cars are indeed fussy animals. Priced correctly any Evora will be snapped up imho. The level of “correctly” is very subjective of course.

With added complication with Lotus being that you don't know if any needed parts are available or how long it might take to get them!

Makes a sorted car a lot more of an attractive proposition.
