Strange Noise

I have a strange noise, well not me but my car, the best way to describe it is if you have seen silence of the lambs, when Anthony Hopkins says, I ate his liver with some father beans and a nice chianti.... and the noise he makes after that is the noise my car is making when first starting up, it goes off completely after about a minute and dosent return till another start

could be as it may go when it heats up and expands and seals and then return when the car is cold again??

If it's any consolation, both my esprits have had various noises

and streching sounds during the first few minutes of starting up.

For this reason alone i always let 'em idle for five minutes or so

from cold, letting her do her warming up exersises and that.

Most dreaded moment:

Me stood alongside cold Esprit, someone comes up...

"Lets hear what the engine sounds like then mate"

The description of the noise sounds how I would describe the wastegate fluttering after boost.....

No reason why it should be going on startup but I thought I'd just muddy thigns for you!
