Not sure yet, but Dave the pub owner has taken on board my suggestion of early morning grub and has breakfasts and bacon butties from 9am! 10 sounds a bit more civilised though. Rob Daniel may be coming up the 68 with his SE also

@ Petrol feet driven; Your dedication is humbling.....

No way we could get our show on the road and over there by 11.00am!

Prolly best just to meet there then.....

We could all troupe to Brocksbushes for lunch, it's just around the corner with plenty of parking.....

We were gonna bring a picnic, but it's a bit chilly for that at the mo.

Just a thought.

PS. The show officially opens at 10.30.

Had you guys all gone home to hide from the rain by the time I arrived at 1.30ish, only a few Loti on site and a constant stream of various performance cars heading out and on the A68 as we tried to get in!

Was not impressed with what was left of the show, lots of Porkers (all look the same to me in the rain) Lots of red italian things and the obligatory noisy TVRs. The car park was as good as the show!!! Hope you all had safe journey home, hope to catch up and meet another day.

Yeah it was a real shame, showers started during the morning, a bitter cold wind, and an absolute downpour from 12pm onwards. Funny thing is you didn't have to travel far south for it to be dry as dust. I've often noticed travelling up the A68 that you can have completely different weather as you pass through the various valleys, Tees/Wear/Tyne. I had to be away early as I had an interview to prepare for tomorrow, seemed like most people were either crammed in the pub, soaked to the bone, or given up by 1pm. Only met Dave "Petrol Feet" briefly as he drove in then never saw him again after a dash to the loo!

Well we got there about 12.30, having left home in the sunshine and driven through torrential rain to get there. Two esprits passed me heading away as we went in. There were lots of cars to look at, but the weather just killed the day. The Lotus Evora was headlined to be there, but I didn't find it. We stopped long enough for a hotdog, then went to Brocksbushes for a hot coffee and cake!

Then four hours getting the car back to the condition it had been in before I set off!

If the organisers had guided each marque to a particular part of the car park it would have been better, but at the end of the day, if you're cold and wet, and yer pride and joy's minging, it's not going to be a great success. I feel sad for the organisers and the exhibitors who put in the effort only to be scuppered by the Great British Weather,,,,

Yip, horrible weather.

Got there after ten.

Had a good chat with the owners of a green s3 and exige.

I to had to do a bunk early - bit of a mare to get out.

I feel sorry for those who travelled any distance.

LooseCannon, yer I stayed around coming back to the cars every so offten. Saw everyone around the lambo's and so on but you where all taking and I waved a couple of times. It rained so went for a drink in the bar, then it rained some more so took shelter. Saw people leaving, so sat in the car for a while, let people sit in it. Then went home, got back just after 8... no pun. Had a great time, son loved it in the trucks sounding the horns, and then got told off.

Hope to attend this event although there is a hillclimb event that I have been meaning to visit in Cumbria the day before. Praying for slightly less biblical weather than last year.

Okay, guys, it's only 2 weeks away. Numbers? I'm going up in my V8PC and a friend in some sort of fast Jaguar (bless). We will go to Brocksbushes ( Cafe/farm on the A69/ Corbridge roundabout, NE43 7UB ) carpark for 11.00-11.30am, if anyone's interested in going in (short) convoy. We'll be parked on the grass.
