S3 bought for £800 and on the road for under £2000

Bought this car from Steve at SJ, it had been turbo kitted sometime in its life so lost most of the S1 features, the clocks/instrumentation were all that remained as even the interior seats were from a turbo model. Last time I saw the car it was in a pastel yellow with a S2 spoiler on the front.

1989 initial build number 10, held by Lotus until 1996 before being sold as a Development car after completion of the limited edition 800 car S2 run hence on a 'P' plate. Held on display in the design studio for many years.
Still lots of research being undertaken to discover what Lotus used the car for over the seven years in their ownership. Chassis has press car written on it but car also has many federal links so possibly the Detroit motorshow car? 
Still only done 33500 miles and spent many years in storage so little use on the road.
Currently undertaking some light recommissioning work to bring it back to full health.
