  1. Well I never!

I was just flicking through the service book of my S4s (owned by me for last 5 years) when I spotted a name I recognised, the original purchaser is none other than Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad Group Lotus Chairman.  It appears that he purchased the car for his son.  A year later Proton owned Lotus....is this really a case of he liked it so much he bought the company? ...the Remmington effect :)

Just thought I'd share my revelation :D

  2. All sorted, I popped one hose  of at the matrix and bleed the air out.  Lovely and toasty now.  However last night I did find a nylon bleed valve on ebay advertised for use on caterhams but once installed that's going to be as much of a pain to get to as popping the hose off.

The flap under the bonnet takes about 3 seconds from up to down  is that about  correct?

Any chance of a pic of the hoses that you speak of?...fed up of being cold :D

  3. Afternoon all.

Dec1 and I need my heater.  I decided that having no heat was really no longer viable ... ice on the inside of windscreen makes driving a challange.

I traced the heater (hot cold) dial/knob to behind the accelerator pedal (of all places) and have (after disconnecting from dial) moved it to fully open and still no heat...The pipes near what I guess is some type of diverter valve are real hot but still no heat...tried it fully closed too.  Any ideas?

Then I decided to 'fiddle' in stereo hole and spotted a couple of vacum elbows that I thought id check, in the middle of fiddle I managed to disconnect a vacum pipe withouit noticing where the other end comes from , any help much appreciated,

  4. Spotted a Blue stevens esprit, looked like an S4, totally covered in stickers, approx 5.30pm today 4 June 12. Lee-On Solant, Hants, You where driving passed the airfield going into Lee-on-Solant. I was on my bike heading towards Fareham just passed the traffic lights. I did wave at you with my Lotus Baseball cap, as I suddenly remembered I have no lights to flash and of course was not in my esprit. Tipical, I see another esprit in the area and I'm not in mine.

I think you saw me, however judging by the look on Ya face, you probably thought who's that plonker on his bike......lol

Hiya, I did spot you after I'd passed you (I'm a little slow sometime :D ) The car was sticked up ready for Le-Mans.

  5. If their success leads to more people buying a Lotus and experiencing the pleasure, I for one am more than happy to give them my support. btw I loved the 2nd and 3rd

As for the Toleman, Bennetton etc references ... seriously all the teams started as different teams....even Ferrari!

Lets all agree to disagree and enjoy our cars :)

  6. Hi Emlyn,

I bought the option one for my S4s complete with a cat bypass pipe. Had a few issues with the cat bypass pipe not lining up with flange on the turbo but the company found out what was wrong ( bend was too obtuse ) & supplied a new pipe FOC which lined up no problem. Quality is very good & it sounds superb. Not too loud when just pottering about but fantastic once past 4k rpm ! I wanted something that sounded good but wasn't too loud that it was annoying whilst just cruising.

Not sure on power increase but it does feel faster, although it always does when it's louder !

    Phil.

Did u need the EBPV with the CYBOX setup?

  7. Evening all, I'm looking into buying an exhaust for my S4S, I want SS and more sound than stock, single exit.

One option is http://www.ebay.co.u...=item415e3d4127 far cheaper than the Larini but I'm guess there are reasons??

I really like the look of http://www.thelotusf...ust-system.html but cannot believe that £432 for a piece of SS pipe (I dont want the silencer if given the choice) is a good investment.

    Thoughts....
