Yay!! Conveniently located very close to my house, this year's Christmas meal is in the wonderful Duke of Wellington, Ryarsh. Celebrating it's 507th anniversary this year, the pub is also the location of our Kent monthly meet and 2 doors from me! (Yes, I moved closer!!) https://www.dukeofwellingtonryarsh.com/ The meal is at 7:30pm, I'll be there from 6pm (or more likely, midday!) and will be on Saturday 9th December. The bar will remain available until midnight if you need to book a cab and please pre-book as it's impossible to book a cab in the area on the night. As usual, I'm happy to do a few ferry runs beforehand to pick you up from a local hotel…

For reasons of my own stupidity (forgot to check who was going 🙄) I have a spare weekend ticket (Saturday & Sunday) for this years classic car show at the NEC on 11th & 12th November. Normally me and 3 mates go for the weekend but 1 has dropped out this year so here I am with a spare, non-refundable ticket that I don't need. In order to rectify the situation I'd like to sell it to someone who was thinking of going but hasn't got their tickets yet. Anyone here fit that profile? I bought them with some club discount so they're a couple of quid cheaper than usual and certainly cheaper than buying them on the day. Just looking for the £54.00 face value for …

All absolutely free for the display car driver. Passengers and other non displaying visitors can attend too for £22 (in advance) or £25 on the gate. https://www.cadwellpark.co.uk/2023/august/cult-classics I'm all booked in with the Esprit SE. Would be great to see some of you chaps there too. Display entry closes tomorrow so be quick. Sorry for the late notice, I've only just come across it. Andy.

A couple of photos from Kop Hill Climb today. Saw Doors Hendrie's old GT3 going up the hill. It was faster than some of the McLarens / Ferrari's. I understand Dermot O'Hare did some up grades on it. The new Owner Will has been restoring it. For anyone interested in going, it's on again tomorrow.

We came over with the Elan JPS for the festival. Our first time in Silverstone, very impressive and we had a great day. Lots of Lotus both on track and in the inner field club stand. No doubt several from on here as well? I should have asked earlier. We already met Leigh with his stunning Essex Elite. And he was kind enough to send me a picture of the Elan. With so much to see, we completely forgot to take one ourselves... We're very much looking forward to the rest of the weekend!

Following on from the terrific response in this thread, here are the plans for Nigel's 60th. Meet arrangements: Chieveley Services, M4 - 10.30am for an 11am leave. Head to http://www.carnarvonarms.com/ for 11.30am - Nigel arrives at midday so we'll essentially take over the car park. I live near Brooklands race track and on Saturday, April 30 they are having an Italian sports car day with an expected 300+ ferraris and lamborghinis etc on display. Could we turn up in our Esprits waving the Guigaro flag (not literally) to get in?http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/whistle.gif In any case its a great event- there are different entrances for display cars and regular parking so the worst that could happen is being turned round to go with the 'normal' cars. http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/auto-italia-italian-car-day/

Just decided to book in and do this trip again. I booked through a Company called Bends & Curves 3 years ago and was super impressed with their service and planning of the trip and in my opinion a great all inclusive price for hotels (that were superb) and excellent food. Just beer/petrol money to find. Think there was was around 40 Lotus last time I went. Anyone else fancy an awesome 5-6 day road trip through France/Belgium/Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Italy and back in September? Couple of pics from last trip.

From Lotus: Hethel, the home of Lotus. Since 1966 this peaceful part of Norfolk has reverberated with the sounds of some of the world’s most exciting and innovative motor cars. We invite Lotus car club members to visit the factory at Hethel, at a rate reserved for Lotus car club members, and to see for themselves how Lotus has transformed into a truly global brand. A visit will enable owners to tour the factory and witness the build of the new Emira. Aficionados will boost their experience by combining their tour with a visit to Classic Team Lotus where they can tune in to Lotus’s legendary Formula One history. Lunch is also independently available at the n…

Held on the first Saturday of every month, our Allon White Saturday Breakfast Clubs are a popular place to catch up on all things motoring. Visitors share a sports car passion and come to chat with like-minded folk who speak car! Each month we have a different speaker or 'workshop' to boost your knowledge, entertain you or just give you an excuse to take your car out for a drive. Past topics have included tips when buying or selling cars, valeting masterclasses, test drive days and talks on motor racing. Bacon rolls, tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits are served from 9:30, though as it's a breakfast not a brunch club, arrive too late and the food will be finis…

Hi Everyone! Following on with the Hendy Performance (Lotus) Thruxton partnership, and our fantastic summer Open Day event, we’ve organised a series of winter breakfast meets at the circuit! All tarmac parking, with the superb Thruxton Centre Restaurant opening to serve breakfast rolls and drinks! The first event is Sunday 23rd October, then Sunday 20th November, both with a 9.30 start. We appreciate many Lotus will be tucked up for the winter, but likewise, many will be ready to have their legs stretched and drivers fed and watered on a Sunday morning! The meet is open to all makes and models, but I’d love to have s…
