  1. Hi,have tried them, although labelled as Elan they are the longer Spitfire type, might fit +2
  2. Hi, where do you know stocks one? I’ve exhausted the google search.. Is reliant a user or do you mean the manufacturer? If the latter did a Reliant model use the shorter Elan rack?
  3. Hi, Really struggling to get hold of an Elan steering rack. My box of bits seems to be a Spitfire rack that is too long (104cm). I think a +2 rack with the extensions removed would also work. Thanks
  4. Ok, am I misunderstanding the handbook when it refers to "option"? Is it actually meaning the option wheels rather than option tyres?
  5. If so is the steering a lot heavier when maneuvering? Any other negatives? Cheers.
  6. Closed gearchange, might try stuffing a sponge up my oddly shaped trouser leg!
  7. Hi, Spent a relaxed couple of hours in my new S3 today. I seem to keep resting my left calf on the gearchange mechanism housing which seems to interfere with the nerve that controls the lateral movement in my foot. Needless to say I now have a rather odd walk. Is this a common complaint or do I just have the wrong shape legs for an Elise? Cheers.
  8. Searched for 2011 and found it thank you: http://vsic.lotuscars.com/system/files/documents/Service Parts List Elise B120T0325D 04 MY_1.pdf S2 service manual should be adequate when combined with the above.
  9. Hi, I have the S2 service manual which covers most jobs but is there an official S3 manual out there? Cheers.
  10. Hi, I'm looking for a 1.6 Lotus Elise built after September 2011. Would prefer aircon and cruise but not a deal breaker. Cash waiting. Cheers.
  11. Hi, I'm struggling to find decent information about when ABS and later stability control became standard features on the Elise. I think ABS became standard with the first Toyota engined S2 cars. Stability looks like it became standard in 2012 on the S3. Is that correct or are there deviations from the rule? Cheers.
  12. Cheers, it does appear that the only Elise equiped with ABS were the Toyota engined cars manufactured from 2004 and possibly K Series cars from 2006.
  13. Thanks for the warm welcome, love Victoria btw. Chandrew, I have read this too but have also seen info to the contrary in my last month of googling. Do you know where the pump would be mounted?
  14. Do all the Toyota engined UK spec Elise have ABS fitted? And are all the Toyota engined UK spec Elise built '04 onwards? I'm looking for a car with ABS and a Toyota engine and it would be a great help is someone could clarify this. Cheers.
