  1. I’m thinking the same maroon or ceramic grey. Will prep what I can then give to a body shop haven’t researched who yet.
  2. Thank you. I will save up for the parts when I can work again. Self employed so not earning during the virus. As for the oil pump you would need my current one to copy? For my spare one? Not sure I want to do that yet. Stay safe. J
  3. Only seems to take off the paint leaving the primer which I will knock off with orbital. Saw 2 people doing it this way on YouTube and have heard specialist paint shops do it too. Fibreglass will need repairs and do on so I think some gouges I can live with.
  4. Hi Harry. Email is correct. I can’t find anything 4th March. Hope you and your family are well in these troubling times. I have no idea if the Cwp in my box has been upgraded. How would I know it is or will be a problem. Car has done 61000 miles. As for the dry sump oil pump. I have a spare housing and 2 annulus but no shaft or other bits are you familiar with them? J
  5. So in isolation looking at chassis it’s scruffy so thinking of painting. Have bought some Matt black frost chassis paint. I have primer too. Should I bother as its a dry sump turbo should be galvanised.
  6. Not having any gear select issues but whilst in isolation are there any upgrades?
  7. Hi harry I’d like to know how much too? Also can you make dry sump oil pump parts?
  8. So I decided to start stripping the paint off today. Figure if I chip away at it a few hours a day by the time I go back to work the back of it will be broken. Using a sharpened wall paper scraper. Always wondered what the original colour was as the maroon wasn’t an option in 68. Guess it was white.
  9. Theelanman mentioned somebody making the frames any ideas who?
  10. Forgive my ignorance what is a cwp?
  11. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7syg7o for those of you who don’t have sky this should be the car sos episode. Is Tim’s a dry sump? He was after my spare set of compomotive wheels but in true fashion didn’t want to pay what I wanted for them. So he diamond cut his bbs.
  12. Blaupunked have released a new stereo that looks identical to one they produced early 80’s but where it looks like you put a cassette it opens for you to put media in.
  13. Hi, I fitted all high tensile and they rusted. Planned to replace with stainless and took 2 out. Planned to re do them one at a time in the hope the seal wouldn’t be broken but tyre went down. Tried tourqing them to 26 but they snapped. Now plan to put the high tensile back in with lots of mastic hope they seal and paint them. I’ve a 10 mom paper punch. Will make a template to fit over just the bolt heads mask off and spray with hammer it’s smooth satin paint from a. Rattle can. Hope it works. J
  14. My bolts have gone rusty any others had this issue? I’ve bought now black stainless but they snap. Peed off. Has anyone got a supplier for black high tensile m6 cap bolts that don’t rust. Going to have to do mine again ☹️

  20. Thanks Steve. So is all that I have outlined in yellow the pump?
  21. Good evening dry sumpers. The lotus centre emailed me this yesterday. Dear Jason, Thank you for your enquiry. There are very few parts available for dry sump engines but we are looking to get the belts made and will advise when available. We have had the metal gasket s made for the scavenge manifold in sizes 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm. We sell these as a set with the option to return the ones not used for credit. These will be on our online shop website at the end of next week. Regards Kathy happy days! Jay
  22. Does anyone have a diagram of how the oil pump fits on a dry sump? I have the workshop manual but cannot find a schematic of the block with the pump. Anything would be a great help. Thanks. J
  23. Morning everyone. Great news. The lotus centre are producing a set of shims to pack the dry sump oil pump out so that the distance can be adjusted to fit the available oil pump belt! You then return the ones you do not need! I’ve placed an order. Should be available next week!
