  1. Hi all, The run is organised on this thread over on the South East Lotus Owners Club: https://forums.the playground.org/viewthread.php?tid=434667 As with all runs I'm involved in it carries an MSA permit which covers all who attend (some insurers can have cheeky small print when it come to organised events). It also means all relevant bodies are informed and are happy with what we are doing. However this does mean all who attend need to sign up to the run. It is totally free (no need to become a club supporter) and just needs a quick sign up to the forum (if you currently don't have a log in) and then a sign up to the run itself. If anyone has any questions feel free to post on this thread or contact me directly on either forums.
  2. One of the lads at work got clocked by a scamera van doing 106mph. It went to court but as he needed his license for his job he got 6 points and a big fat fine (about £600 if memory serves). If you need your license to work it's pointless them giving you a long ban as you'll be claiming job seekers the following day. Unless they keep catching you at stupid speeds of course
  3. Had a cracking time guys, good to get out in the sunshine and see you all again. I think the waiter at the restaurant wasn't too impressed with me asking for sausage and chips The route isn't that long it's just all the horse boxes and old dodders we kept hitting made it feel like a bit of a marathon. More than happy to do a shorter version at some point though. Still plenty of roads around the area to play on. Sorry to read about your trouble on the way home Dave. As others have said I'd be amazed if you got a ban and even if you did it won't be more than a fortnight.
  4. Coolio, looking forward to it. Been laid up with man flu since Wednesday and I'm finally feeling human again today so should be ready and raring by tomorrow
  5. Gary are you still using the route that was intended for the Pease Pottage to Brighton run that got rained off? I've still got the ITN file if anyone wants a copy?
  6. There are a couple of small speed humps on the route as we go through Balcombe village. Not many and not too high so you should be fine.
  7. Yep I'm up for this. ooo my first post
