  1. Hi Bibs, the backbox and cat replacement pipe were both made by Jim at 2ublar. As you scythe only other performance improvement was a air filter fitted by Sinclaire's in Essex. The gearbox was also completely rebuilt under warranty and a new clutch installed at the same time. It seems that we have similar tastes as the car I had before the Evora was a S1 ruby red 111s.
  2. Page 10 Colin said.... Posted August 26 Who in their right mind would buy green car Congrats Bibs, nice car that one, in fact I nearly bought it instead of my N/A. What happened to requiring IPS? Would it be naughty if I told you that you could have bought that car for the same money with 8K on it in Dec 2012 from a certain Mr Ali Ansar
  3. Congratulations it's a great car, I owned it before rc_hammer and was responsible for adding the barge boards and 2ublar. As Colin has already said it was owned by ex Lotus CEO Ansar Ali before me so it has a good history. Best colour on an Evora in my opinion, especially in the sun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, I have plenty of photos let me know if you want them. James
  4. Hello as said above I bought the car from a dealer in Kingswood (up the hill from Croydon!) for £33k. The owner of the dealership was friends with Ansar so sold it on sale or return for him after he left Lotus. I sold it 2 years later on sale or return for about the same money. It was a great car, especially the colour, In the sunlight it looked amazing. As Colin said I added barge boards and a 2ubular exhaust during my ownership. I have now gone back to a S1 Elise, I had to get one as close to motorsport green as I could, I am thinking of changing the wheel colour to match my old Evora
  5. I got mine straight from Lotus Racing. Here is the link to the old brochure with the contact number. http://evorainfo.net/FileStore/PDFs/Brochures/EVORA%20GTN%20BROCHURE%20(SinglePages).pdf I have just looked up my invoice, they were £295 excluding VAT plus £115 delivery so if you can pick them up I would! On top of that they were not easy to fit so count in a good few hours labour. I got mine purely for looks, I don't really care about the technical bits. The one small issue is that they show up the dirt being glossy.
  6. I had a similar thought a while ago so I had a go in photoshop
  7. It is Ansar Ali's old car, I bought it from DMS in November 2012, I was looking for a white Evora at the time but then this one came up and I fell for it straight away. I have never had a car that has attracted so much positive attention. Unfortunately the love affair may have to end soon as the family car needs replacing and I may have to sell the Evora to finance it. Maybe I could sell a kidney instead.....
  8. Top 2 in the sun with barge boards the last 3 show how the colour changes in different light pre barge boards I love it...
  9. I had thought about trying to do the whole GT4 look but like you I think it's to much and just settled with the barge boards which really add to the shape. Motorsport green is one of those colours that looks amazing when the suns on it, but a little flat when it's cloudy
  10. Sorry added myself and then realised its Easter Sunday so I can't go! Bummer

  12. Mine is a 2010 N/A with 10,000 miles on the clock. They replaced the gear cables on mine as it was really stiff between 1st and 2nd. The cables improved the change but I'm now getting an intermittent crunch between 1st and 2nd. B&C told me today that I will need to book in for the fix which will be replacing 1st and 2nd gears. I wonder if they can change the rest of the gears to match the close ratio box?
