The compressor body can be painted as the temps don't get that high. 

With the turbine body dip it in hydrochloric acid for an hour.. It only attacks rust not good metal

when its clean wash in water but dry quickly as it will rust again. Spray with WD40 to prevent rust until refitted.. 

Use safety goggles and gloves with the acid, and in a well ventilated area

exhaust is only spot welded at the moment, will be st/steel seam welds when final adjustments are made.
