  2. On my excel I have a center box , but no back boxes .It is a stainless with a 4 into 1 maniffold . It is louder than standard . I think it sounds good and not overly loud. .
  3. Hi I fitted MA61 to my Excel SE , front and back , recon . From http://www.carfactorsuk.co.uk/Default.aspx?page=C I paid £65 each inc VAT and deliver . You get £15 back on each old one you return Jim
  4. Isn't it Toyota MA61 used on the Excel . I do not know if RA61 is the same ?
  5. I fitted stainless flexi hoses .They are supposed to give a firmer pedal . Relatively small investment to see if it helps , and if yours are old .... Jim

I have this trouble on my Excel .The odd thing is that the three legs of the frame have two fixing point were you can pack out with washers , except the rear one which only fixes at the bottom of the leg. The top is the point I want to pack it . I got bit more adjustment by packing out the lower door hinge ,you can bring the door shell back into line where it fixes to the beam . I have faffed about with mine and it still does not seal .

  8. I suspect once the damaged wheel is repaired , it would need re-painting , then it would not match the others so they would need painting . How much is a good used one ? I painted my Speedlines myself .Perhaps an easier wheel to do. Three aerosols , one of each did 5 wheels ,etch , silver ,lacquer . Surprisingly good results .

  10. Yes the manifold is tubular stainless , quite a simple design , not like those spaghetti ones .I will get some photos tomorrow .
  11. I have a stainless exhaust . It is a a simple 4 into 1 . It has one center box , but no back boxes. I have nothing to compare it with , but I think it makes a fantastic growl , not too loud , and the car goes very well

I am a fan of standard stuff , again I seem to be alone on this preference .I know things have moved on and better materials are available , but I also think Lotus (and Toyota) knew a thing or two . This is what I fitted . Regarding the MC you may find it is obsolete . They have re-manufactured ones . If your cylinder has the 'cable tie' with numbers on it this will identify your cylinder . £20 plus post and vat . They even threw in the cylinder to servo seal .
