  1. Absolutely ... is that a true “GTE” or a replica that he owns now? Fast n Furios 8?!?
  2. SwissVax Opaque is what I use to wash / detaik and for difficult stuff I use what Lotus recomends (GoFoam and AmorAll) ... Cheers Norbert
  3. Its a bugger to keep properly looking, for sure ... but the reward is big ??
  4. Nicolas: I would change to the complete PFC setup on the rear as well as soon as your OEM discs are done. The life of the PFC setup is much longer than OEM and it isnt that much more expensive if you do it, when you have to replace the discs anyway... I am also very happy with the PFC for me probably the best upgrade I have made on the car...
  5. Doesnt need a wing to look exceptional ? but it certainly helps to reduce any bad thoughts of trading up to a 430 Cup to pretty much zero ... ? My wife hates the wing btw ... she is saying it looks too aggressive now ?
  6. I just got my COP from Lotus and found out that they just built 10 matt black V6 Club Racers... mine is No 4 out of 10. I have never seen another one in the flesh but know that a couple of those are here ... who else is one here with a Matt Black V6 Club Racer, are we able to get anywhere close to the 10? V6 Cup, V6 S etc in matt black welcome as well, of course??
  7. I am intending to go as well ?
  8. Great! Sooner or later I might go down that road as well... the internal boot mounts for the wing sound very interesting. Let me know when you have them installed... I might order some from you ;-)
  9. Selector fork was exactly what I meant ... remeber KT telling me that they would get them from @Hangar 111
  10. Thats a big one in my opinion for a V6 S ... @Seriouslylotus do you know how much the weight saving would be vs the V6 Club Racer battery?
  11. Imran: looks like an interesting journey .... btw you should go for the lightweight battery ... in your car this will bring you down 12-14kg ... lightblox has a good solution ...
  12. Exactly the same for me ...
  13. Yep ... probably the best you can get for track use and it will bring a significant gain in laptime at most tracks (I would guess its worth 4-5s per lap in Spa compared to the Standard GB with the long 5th and 6th) ... BUT its 22k and has to be revised a lot ... A Dual Clutch will soon be ready ... I am sure ... BUT ... I bought the Lotus because I wanted a stick ?
  14. Not worth it? Hmm should I go for a sequential instead? Or a dual clutch? Stick with OEM? Hmmm - what do you think? I intend to keep the Exige for a very long time, so I do not worry about resale value too much ...
  15. With uprated GearBox I do not mean the gears itself - very weak parts are the plastic parts used in the structure (the „fork“ e.g.) ... those can be replaced with custom made (I think they are Tevlon) parts ... I do not think they are advertised anywhere but I know that KomoTec was testing them and had high hopes that they would significantly help to improve durability ... I talked with Daniel and their chief machanic about those in the past ... have not followed up since, but certainly would before I redo the gearbox ...
  16. My clutch (and the gearbox btw!) is still doing ok ... I would not touch anything on the gearbox or the clutch until either has an issue. But if, I will go for the uprated clutch, the light weight flywheel, the short ratio gearbox (with uprated internals) and potentially the LSD ;- )...
  17. Great!!! Bilster Berg is one if my favorites ... Spa with Lotus on Track is always great as well. Touring Car Test Days in March next year is pretty much the season opener at Bilster Berg ... would be interesting to see whats doable in a 311 vs an EX460 ...
  18. Peter - very cool! Love your 311! Are you taking it on track as well every once in a while? Spa is just 30 mins for you ...
  19. Thanks! Makes the car look like much more agressive AND it really works... ?
  20. Same for me ... would love to have them but its a big effort in particular with the matt black ... if I want this to be perfect I would have to repaint the whole front clam ...
  21. You are right - the Race version also was too much of a headache for me and not road legal anymore in Germany, thats why I ended up with the track version ... as you can see from the pictures below, its curved ... thats the wind tunnel developed one that is best in downf/drag ... they also have a straight one mainly for the design freaks but its not as efficient... Anyway - I really like the carboncomposite guys you found ... that too me looks like a great starting point for what you want - they should know what profile works best ... pretty sure its rather curved than straight ... most motorsports wings nowadays are not straight anymore ... Btw: what about the wheel arch vents we discussed recently - are you going for those as well? Transforged has some ...
  22. The motorsport guys are usually a good place to go to. Is there anybody like Manthey, Schirmer or Getspeed in the UK that mods a lot of cars for racing? They usually have a pretty good idea about wing profiles ... Pretty sure the KomoTec Wing is well designed btw - they started exactly there (worked with a German well known Motorsports supplier) and then did there own wind tunnel testing... if the street / track version is too small for you, they have a track version that Winny has on his car. It helped significantly improve laptime in Spa...
  23. As long as they work aerodynamically I do not care much if you can see the tire or not... Will be interesting to hear of some experience re stone chips / ruber pickup etc when using the 430 on track...
  24. Agree ... money back on a modded car is an issue, even in Germany BUT fun back is phenomenal ... as I intend to keep my Exige for a very long time, I car most about the latter ?
