  1. That's correct. I only run on super, learnt with my RS (400bhp) that running tuned engines on standard fuel means fairly shite running. I'm due a dyno session to see if the output has changed at all.
  2. My Evora has a 2Bular headers back exhaust and Essex Autosport remap.. All I can say is its faster than my old 400bhp Mk2 Focus RS, sounds mental and nicer to drive too... Pics provided from Lotus Silverstone when I picked it up.
  3. It was back on there headed Ashford way at around 1700 when i was returning with my new purchase too.....
  4. Sorry for the lack of clarity. Where the window sits in the door, that seal (bottom of the window). I shall have a dig into the MY12 seals.
  5. I've noticed that my passenger window seal doesn't appear to seal anything anymore... With the current heavy rainfall, what's a good fix? A search brought up nothing... But then I am on my phone...
  6. @Barrykearley It's a slippery slope... I literally got in mine, test drove it for 20 mins and decided there and then that it was perfect for me.
  7. I've got a remapped 2011 and its on 67k.... The only thing i can think of that's wrong on it is a bit of leather scuffage (using GlimmerTone is rectifying that) and the centre console by the rear seats seems a bit "wobbly"... other than that it's an absolute monster. Going from 2nd to 3rd at full pelt is a bit hit and miss - but that IS down to my shit shifting and nothing to do with the cables (old type). I have the metal interior, it's worn well and i also fitted a Sector111 bollock - that is incredibly cold to the touch on a morning like today but sets the interior off well - lends it an air of purpose. I'm not a fan of the 400s interior, i don't particularly like the LOTUS emblem emblazoned over the centre console like a chav chariot and there are too many buttons ruining the flow of it (similar to the vents and angles of the exterior). In the last two years it put on 20k under its last owner. All the paperwork points to bulletproof running. I was told to look for 2012 onwards, but saw a 2010 and a 2011 (That i bought) and quite frankly.... There's not much between them except for.... seats....
  8. I'd like that but i'll need to check with work as this is normally a very busy period for us! Thank you for the kind comments!

  10. Hi! I'm Simon, a Soldier in the UK who has quite frankly, loved Lotus' since a small child! So after six long years of looking for a Lotus that fit my life, i finally went up to Lotus Silverstone to see Aimee about a Grey Evora... I'd driven virtually every Elise and Exige variant up to that point (and bored friends about wanting one) and despite loving them, they just were too impractical for my needs Aimee didn't disappoint with the car - it's lovely and the forged alloys are works of art! So i bought it there and then! I just can't stop driving it, i love how special it feels, the handling and the noise it makes. I went out to buy a kettle tonight and ended up 30 miles away at Sandbanks.... 20160404_192151 by Simon Cox, on Flickr I've been fairly corrupted by blown cars for the last 8yrs so this is a return to my roots and naturally aspirated - it's taken an adjustment period to get used to not having instant access to huge waves of power, but the fun of rev hunting and instant throttle delivery that naturally aspirated engines give over the softness of blown engines has made me grin from ear to ear! I've found the clutch pretty heavy and reversing has become a bit of a bugger considering the beeps go from nothing to "OMG stop" in a second. Practice makes perfect! Spec: 2011 Carbon Grey Lotus Evora, N/A V6 300bhp (near as makes no odds), Essex Autosport Remap, 2Bular Exhaust c/w sports cat, Drop in sports air filter, Sector111 Bollock Future: Polish, DA and a general tidy up of the seat (bolster wear) - This weekend! Difflow 5 elm diffuser - i prefer it to the 7 element variant and a few trackdays! Although it's been a while and there wasn't much in the way of clouds and i have to double check my settings in the camera as i only managed three exposures instead of the normal 6 i used to shoot to avoid some artefacts.
