Well I purchased this Europa off Matt the other day, what a great bloke and he totally knows his Lotus. The build quality is tremendous, he talked me through everything he did. The engine is as sweet as a nut, starts first time, no smoke, rattles or untoward noises. Engine pulls strong through all the gears and exhaust and carb note is Awesome!!! Interior is of a good standard even having the Lotus steering wheel. I saw some of his other work and it's up to an amazing standard. I drove the car 250 miles home without a hick up, was amazing on fuel, just popped it in fifth gear and cruised most of the way back. Car needs painting but I'm having so much fun driving it at the mo so it will be after the summer when I get round to it. I would recommend Matt's work to anyone who is looking for a decent,honest restorer wanting to rebuild their engine or car, he genuinely enthuses about what he does, and doesn't cut any corners, does everything once but does it properly. I'll be back to Matt's house on Sunday to pick my Z3M Coupe up as I left it to drive the Europa back home, I just fell in love with it.... Anyway, great big thanks to Matt for his hospitality and for honestly describing a vehicle properly. Matt, give me first Dibs on the Sprint when it's finished.
