  2. "see you in the near future with my car ......."Oi you ... watch it or instead of getting a raise you will be getting a cut in your pocket money Perhaps some extra polishing duty is in order.... i could always stick the car on ebay and buy your sister a horse!!!
  3. I wish.... No they did the geometry check on Monday and were going to reset it on Tuesday and discovered the bushes were shot so they are waiting untill they get new ones before tweeking it. Did ask about the front dampers but they said they dont have a date for them as yet
  4. The car is actually at the Lotus factory at the moment and they have been trying to source bushes or check if they were compatible with the V8 which the thought they might be... sadly no joy in either case. Talked to Steve at SJ Sportscars at the beginning of the week and they don
  5. Does anyone have or know where i can get a set (4 off) lower link suspension bushes for an S1. The lotus part number is A079D4042J - Bush, Lower Link according to the parts manual. Thanks Gordon
  6. fine with me..... If you do want any of the ones i have posted let me know and i will give yo the ones that are a higher resolution than the ones on the thread.
  7. I would give Nick Fulture a phone on 01603 811993 enquiries@coachtrimmer.co.uk Nick worked for Lotus for many years and was involved in the initial design for the Esprit interior. What he doesnt know about coach trimming isnt worth knowing. He is currently retrimming my origonal interior back to 1976 spec and i would imagine he would be able to make up any part you require ....he certainly has all the templates for the early cars and i cant see there being much difference in an 83 car Cheers Gordon
  8. I thought these were only going to be the official photographs, i was thinking more of the ones that have been posted and others that people may have on their cameras that may not otherwise be seen by the rest of us.... perhaps these can be included in anything that John is going to produce to kill two birds with one stone?
  9. Further to discussions on the Pictures from the Hethel Meet thread, I would like to suggest gathering all the photographs that have been posted along with any video footage and putting them all together on a DVD. My thoughts are: At a rough guess I think I could produce DVD
  10. Bibs... just a thought but perhaps it might be worth getting all the photos and video clips together onto a DVD and making them available to the forum at say cost +
  11. 1020 Miles ... but the old girl went down on a transporter..... Car is still at the factory waiting for some lower link bushes so that they can reset the geometry on the suspension... with a bit of luck they are also going to take some pictures of the car similar to the ones from the brochure in 1976 Ok it looks like the car is pointing the wrong way round on the track but it would be great to get a then and now pic
  12. Main thing is that your OK and although i cant begin to imagine how you feel, this is the kind of thing that would be my worst nightmare. Lets hope that there is another V8 out there with an owner who doesnt share our passion and it finds its way to you. All the best. Gordon
