I have sent an e-mail to Malcolm regarding the last fourteen years. Apart from a the wheels being refurbished, a Moto-lite steering wheel, the flexi brake lines being replaced with braided lines, a couple of batteries, oil and filter every year, cam belt every other year and having the carbs refurbished last winter she remains as she was when Malcolm had her. The roof lining still sags but I find it hard to justify what I was quoted to replace it. 'Jan' won best in show at the last Stoneleigh Lotus Fair when the Elite, Eclat and the Excel were the featured cars and she was displayed on the Excelforum stand at NEC show when the bulkhead was signed by Oliver Winterbottom. She has still only covered 42,564 miles which is not bad going as she is almost thirty eight years old.

Hi, I have owned my Series 2 Eclat ref no JAN44W for the last fourteen years or so unfortunately she is SORN not because of any defect but too many projects and not enough time I suppose. We won best in show at the last Stoneleigh Lotus show when the wedges were the choose feature cars. She is Monaco white, about 45000 miles and apart from the wheels being refurbed she I see totally origina. I am hoping to get a cam belt change and MOT'ed before summer starts this year. Simon HUDSON
