  1. Hi Guys, I'm currently looking to move to Auckland from Dubai, and would love to bring my much loved Evora S with me when i come. I appreciate that a LHD/RHD conversion is a ton of work that likely requires some form of donor car to acquire the used parts necessary to do the job efficiently, however its still a route i'm willing to explore... Does NZ have any lotus parts specialists around? are there any good garages that deal with lotus in Auckland that i could speak to about this? Here in Dubai the main dealer is amazing and very helpful, but the market is too small to have any good specialist garages or used parts etc, i suspect NZ may be similar? Thanks Adam
  2. Found the details. They are completely different in several ways so the komotec certainly will not fit the older models
  3. Yeah it's whether the internal diameters and fixing are similar. I'm happy with minor trimming but don't want to take everything apart and drop a load of cash to then discover they're completely incompatible. To be honest the komotec parts look really generic push fit so theres a good chance they would fit.
  4. Hi All, Does anyone know if the dash vent nozzles in the Evora between 2014 S model and the Evora 400 are different size or fitment? Komotec have replacement aluminium vents for the 400 onwards , but they say they have never tried them on the older model so they don't know if they are compatible. Thanks!
  5. That is a concern, and ive read that the middle east dealer replaced most looms under warranty at the time, but as i don't have any other, warning lights, problems or codes, I'm hoping it is just a single connector or something like the fuel pump, But obviously we will see....
  6. Fuel pump and relay are a good shout to check. Thanks 👍
  7. I know there is a lot of talk of similar stalling issues, but mine seem different, hence the new post... Fairly regularly (maybe once a week of daily driving), my 2014 Evora S stalls when stationary idling, but it also happens at cruising speed. When at speed, the car jolts heavily but the engine then keeps going (just a strong hicup) but when idling it actually stops. It always starts again on the key first time. It runs smoothly, with no limp mode and no other issues. I have cleaned and checked the connection on the MAF, its showing no codes, and being a 2014, it should not have the loom problems that the pre-2013 cars had. Fuel filter has been suggested, but it never splutters or gives any other indications or fuel starvation Any other ideas?
  8. Problem solved! The dealer fitted new rear tyres but did not replace the front tyres, so the traction control was picking up a difference in traction levels between the front and rear. In the middle east tyres bake hard very quickly with the heat, so although the tyres looked as good as new, the rubber was not as sticky as the fresh rears. I'm amazed the system was so sensitive!
  9. Thanks guys, yes it would of been sensible to try turning the TC off, I didn't think of that at the time 🤦‍♂️ As it does it in both directions always grabbing the outer front, I'm thinking it's more than a simple loose sensor. It also has the local dealer stumped and he is getting alot of advise from the UK on the fault, so I guess it's not a common or obvious issue. I'll keep u posted 👍
  10. Just purchased a 2014 Evora S. 3 Days out of the showroom it developed an issue where on faster sweeping bends (left and right hand) the ABS starts chattering and grabbing front wheel. Stops when out of the bend, and no lights at all come up on the dash. Any ideas? ABS control module fault or some sensor? 🤔 Thanks!
