  1. A bit of Scottish "tongue in cheek Humour" from New year TV.
  2. Starting to drive the Elise a little more spiritedly and starting to find my shin and knee is pushing harder on the centre console than I would like. I would rather push my left foot against a foot plate. Is this a personal thing or have others got a similar need or solution? Have a great new year everyone!
  3. Looking very good. I have jet black pearl spec on another vehicle its a constant battle keeping it nicely detailed.
  4. Crystal serum is tough stuff so lets hope it is adhesive residue. Cellulose thinners or acetone is the final option but that is last chance saloon as it may well damage the paint, good thing is that the CSL should help protect. Let us know how it goes. Be careful!
  5. Brake and clutch cleaner? Test a small area first to check no interaction with satin black before going for it. Used it for cleaning my wheels before C5 coating application
  6. New here also. Starting to really like the drive 😍
  7. Due to my advancing age I had a blowout on a 220 Elise from Leven in Edinburgh. Kermit is his name ............ not sure why Really starting to get into the Lotus driving thing. Very different experience πŸ‘
  8. Looks fantastic in Black ...... were you on the Z4 -forum?? I seem to remember your call sign ? I too have dabbled in the Lotus badge
  9. Fundamental floor for Android phone ........... the two tangs on the platform are perfectly place for the back and home buttons....... slight mod required πŸ˜‚
  10. Fits nicely a bit functional looking but then that matches the interior. Mag mount and cradle
  11. My version of the Brodit holder .................... well I was bored πŸ˜‚ 0.75 mm plate and some perspex i had lying about . Magnet still to fit in the hole 2/3rds up ............... Drink holder next!
  12. Cheers guys haven't seen those so will research. Thanks for the quick response πŸ‘
  13. Any one found a decent holder arrangement for the phone so its easy for navigation etc. and doesn't drop the phone in more spirited driving situations? Recommendations would be most appreciated πŸ‘
  14. When the better weather arrives🀣 if you fancy a run out give me a shout. πŸ‘
  15. Hi Mark Just up the road from you in the Scottish Borders just on the English side. Just become a Elise owner myself dipping my toe in the Lotus legend. Also have Boxster experience 987 and 981 so am starting to learn the differences. Your Elise looks Mint! πŸ‘ Cheers Angus
  16. Guys I will pop out tomorrow and get some pictures on my car a new 220 Elise of the factory Jack stickers and try and give some measurements etc. Too late this evening!
  17. Thanks @TJS10 So if I can locate the bolts that attach directly to the x section member, directing the force through the fasteners should work. I will look further at the link and decide whether it makes sense, Engineering wise
  18. Thanks @TonyKL I will take the necessary common sense approach. I have two low -profile jacks to deal with my other 'critter' but the Lotus has me a little spooked! With the lack of information and as you say the possibility of the rear end tipping, hence the question. At least it weighs so little! Cheers Angus
  19. Dental floss cuts the foam adhesive then solvent cleans things up πŸ‘
  20. Drove the 350 Exige before the Elise ............... what a 'blast!' Its a beast of a car 😜
  21. Hi New to the forum and looking to have a quick way of jacking up the car. I saw the video below and would like opinions (specifically) on the lifting bar used in it for the rear of the car. Is it good practice or a No No? Thanks
  22. Doing a similar thing on my Elise. Looks great with the smaller plate arrangement above!
