  1. OK. Thanks I'll give it a try. I plan to investigate at the weekend.
  2. Yes I test there. I was just hoping it might be something simple that I was missing. Like a hidden fuse. I don't really know how long it's not been working as I have never driven it in the rain.. It must have been working OK thia time last year as mot I due. Do you know if the stalks are easy to get? Are they interchangeable with some other car? I just had a look on SJ and they have the stalks £49. So not so bad
  3. Anyone got any ideas? My wipers and washers are just dead nothing... I've checked the fuses in the glove box. Are they anymore anywhere?
  4. I'm not bothered about listening to the radio to ne honest. I just want it as it left the factory
  5. I found the switch and the aerial then it started to make a noise but didn't move. I then noticed I could just pull up the aerial by hand but I can't get any radio signal. So the conclusion is... I think I need a new aerial. I was going to do some research to see what would fit but also was going to plan and repair the original if at all possible once its off. I just wanted both options once I have the door off and the car in bits.. If anyone knows of a possible replacement aerial?
  6. Just picking up on this old thread. Does anybody know the easiest way to test the aerial. Mine is stuck down so not sure if it is the aerial, relay or fuse. Where's the easiest way to put power to it to test? P.s also a 83 Esprit Turbo
  7. I presume the advert was never ended and just keeps getting refreshed. It seems like it's a very old advert. I just managed to attach some photos. As you will see safe and sound in my garage....
  8. Hi Yes I can confirm it's not going anywhere. I'm very happy with it. I purchased it without even seeing it and on a bit of a whim. I have never owned one before but always fancied one and just loved it in the green and black. It looks just as good in the flesh as in the photos and drives fantastic. I can see why people have been a bit suspicious of the way it seems to have been on sale for a long time and then put in an auction, but the guy who owned it was just a trader and classic car collecter. I went to his house and he had just about one of everything that were all for sale for the right price but he was in no rush. He sent it to a lotus specialist to be checked over and serviced for me before I collected it. So very happy with the whole purchase..😁
