  1. Hello,

I heard back from Aerie, they reinforced the Y-Pipe with a small titanium plate just before the hose, where it broke.

For my part, I preferred to change and installed the 2bular EPK. Not easy to install, you have to take your time, but there was no need to modify or adapt anything. I received mine 2 weeks after ordering and Jim was very responsive and answered all my queries.

The sound is a little less shrill but with less vibration, and still much more orgasmic than the original.

  2. @El-RGBJason relaunches the factory for the 3rd time since April 21st. On the other hand, Jason responds directly to my WhatsApp, he seems involved and makes the connection but the Factory doesn't give any feedback at the moment.

Can you weld Titanium that thin?
It's clearly too shattered for me to do anything.

I had a chat with Jim from 2Bular and the design of Lotus engines means that the exhaust is used to support the engine. So there's a lot of vibration and titanium isn't ideal in this configuration, especially with such thin components.
What's more, I've always had unwanted noises with this Titanium line from Aerie (not to mention that the Y-Pipe has unscrewed from the Cata Sport). So I decided to change everything, I ordered an EPK from 2Bular 1 week ago and I should receive it between today and Monday.
I'll tell you more once I receive it, I'm too impatient.

  3. Finally I go to Vone Racing Valence France (700km round trip).

They have their own autoclaved carbon airbox from a manufacturer that supplies parts for the aerospace industry! The quality is top-notch in carbon and the airflow has no "bulge" like on komotec or Jubu.
9 runs on the dyno for optimal tuning, with a final result of 500hp and 510nm with a very nice curve.

I don't own any shares in  🤣, but I highly recommend Vone Racing in Valencia.

  4. Hello,

For those who have changed their exhaust, what did you use to connect the manifolds to the Y-Pipe in terms of gaskets and screws?
One of my manifolds unscrewed image.gif.defa7f8f24ddede20662046967687443.gif and I'm thinking of using screws of this type (with spring): https://www.akr-performance.fr/p/srs-boulon-ecrou-et-ressort-dechappement-bs-870

And in terms of gaskets, what do you think of Donut-type gaskets? https://www.akr-performance.fr/p/honda-joint-dechappement-donut-76mm300-18229-s6m-a51

Is it useful to add these gaskets? https://www.akr-performance.fr/p/srs-joint-de-bride-dechappement-2-trous-76mm300-ga-a

In short, what do you recommend for sealing and fixing the manifolds to the Y-Pipe?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hello,

    Thank you for your answers.

I asked Komotec this question a few months ago and they replied as follows (translated from German): Thank you for your email and your interest in our company's carbon airbox. We do not offer a pure airbox, as it is only when the airbox is used that the lambda and CO values no longer correspond to 100%. For this reason, we can only offer complete performance kits.

My mechanic is going to try and approach them, to see if he can get the airbox and reprog but without the line. I'll get back to you.

I don't have an engine light because the lambda probes connected to the Y-Pipe are misleading "O2 sensor catalyser". As for the other two lambda sensors in the manifolds, like origin, they're connected before the catalytic converters, so there's no difference (and so much the better, they're the most important). The Y-pipe sensors are there solely to ensure that the catalytic make her job for ensure the legal regulations on Co2 emissions. And any influence on the ECU.

Here are some photos (new and after few km = blue color 😈) of the line.

  6. hello,

I now have an Exige 430 cup on which I have installed collectors with premium insulate protection (without catalyzer), a Titanium Y-Pipe line and a Titanium 200-cell catalyzer.

Does it make sense to install the KT Airbox carbon and Komotec EX475 reprogramming?

Knowing that Komotec maps are not tailor-made to suit the car, and that the modifications I've made are virtually the same as those offered by Komotec on their ex475 kit (headers, y-pipe and Cata sport 200 cells).

    What do you think?
    Thanks in advance ;)

  7. Hello,

I'm trying to increase the noise 😈 and in the process if possible to free up the engine a little more.
Replacing the original catalyst with this one without any other modification will meet my needs or is it necessary to change other elements (like manifolds)?

    Your opinion?

    Thanks in advance.
