Old thread I know, I was looking this stuff up for V8 sizes which are becoming rarer now. Uniroyal Rain sport do the S4 sizes now, which are dwindling as I type but I have used their Rain expert variant and while it wallows it grips and the ride was smooth. If the Sport is the same compound but with a stiffer sidewall it would be perfect, especially in the wet where your hard tyres will fail you the most.

Popped these new wheels on recently. They're flow formed racing alloys by Revolution, only recently developed and designed for competition so they're light and strong. They made them with S4s/V8 sizes, 8.5 x 17 and 10 x 18 and all the offsets and whatnot. Unfortunately they only came in black when I got them and they don't show up well for the camera but you get the idea.
