  1. Thanks, however I have bought the part from silverlake so hopefully that will fix it 🙂
  2. Ha ha.. yeah... I have nothing like that! 🙂 Thanks for your help on this. I'll check out those links and a replacement part. Thanks again.
  3. Just tried and the controls aren't illuminating, but the 4 buttons are. So it looks like the HVAC panel needs replacing. Any tips on where to get one? I did some looking around online but I couldn't find parts. I dont use FB, so I couldnt try the link above unfortunately. I havent tried a dealer yet.
  4. Well spotted. I had a look at adjusting the dimmer level of mine earlier today in the daytime and as @madmax said, it's hard to tell. I'll try again a bit later, once it's dark.
  5. Are these controls supposed to be backlit? Maybe I have a bulb out. If they're not backlit as standard, are there known options to backlight them? Maybe the controls from later models could be retrofitted? Thanks.
  6. That says to me "Yeah love, I advertised it, but no-one wants to buy it. I guess we'll have to keep it"
  7. @rudolphwolven Thanks for your posts. Yes, the Autoexpress article (and others) mention that thieves saw through the steering wheel to remove the steering wheel locks. So they are more of a deterrent to the opportunistic/apprentice thief 😀, as they can be overcome by a determined one. Obviously, they are almost useless in a scenario where a determined thief wants to nick the car and the car is out of view and they have the luxury of time. Mine is on my driveway. Thanks for the pic and info on the brake lock you use, I like the idea, although my car is my daily driver so I think I'd need a solution that has a bit more convenience.
  8. To be honest, I think I'd prefer that rather than it being stolen by a spotty herbert who can't drive RWD cars and subsequently writing it off just because he's used to nicking 4WD RS3's 😅
  9. Sure, but If i can deter someone from trying in the first place I save myself a lot of hassle and my lovely car isn't damaged. 😀
  10. Can anyone recommend a steering wheel lock for the Evora? It seems that Autoexpress recommend the Stoplock Pro Elite (and others recommend the Stop lock Pro as an alternative whereby the only difference is apparently the profile of the bar), however Amazon is saying that neither models are compatible with the Evora. Here's the Autoexpress review where they ask someone to get past the locks and rate them on their performance: Best steering wheel locks 2021 | Auto Express.
  11. Can anyone recommend a Lotus dealer/specialist in Hants? I currently have my Evora booked in at Lotus Hendy Eastleigh, but my experience of just getting hold of them is poor (they don't seem to usually answer the phone or call back when you leave a message) and I now have a report of poor work from them, as reported by someone else... So I'm looking to re-book elsewhere unless my confidence in them can be improved 🙂 Thanks in advance.
  12. @C8RKH Many thanks. I did ask the seller about the original parts but unfortunately they are not available. I assume they were not part of the previous sale. I'll see what I can do wrt piccies 🙂
  13. @exeterjeep That's definitely the car. Thanks for the link. Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned on the no. of owners then as this is a 2011 car.
  14. @ba55uma Thanks. It's no longer for sale as I have a deposit on it.
  15. I'm looking to buy this car, but I'm a little concerned that the car has had 7 owners and the current owner is flipping it a couple of months after buying it. It's an Evora S with WinAce GTC front Bumper, Evora 400 rear bumper and GT4 wing I have been told. With these sort of mods, I wouldn't be surprised if a previous owner has frequented this forum. So just doing some due diligence, I'm asking if anyone knows this car and its history so I can go into the purchase with my eyes open? Many thanks.
