  1. Hi, We are new to Lotus and in the market for one. Friend has an Evora 410 which is lovely to drive but out of our budget, test driven an Exige 350S and while it's nice I do think it's an overkill for what we want, which is just a fun weekend, good weather car also the o/h didn't like the exige and my legs were quite stretched even with the seat fully forward ! Test drove an Elise Sport 220 which she loved but never test drove it 🤨 and I did enjoy driving it clutch and steering was much lighter than the Exige ! We currently have an A35 plus she has a little Up GTi for work and we do love the A35 it's comfy, fast and pretty good on fuel on longer journeys but for short trips to and from work it's awful on fuel 😥 which is why she got the Up GTI. I really like the look of the Cup 250's with the aero and that extra 30bhp because I know I'll be constantly comparing the power to the A35 but I know there's not much in it to be honest where the Elise's shine is the handling and driving experience. Am I going to be disappointed if we go for a Sport 220 ? Realistically I think our budget is around £45K with a small deposit and going for PCP or HP with a balloon payment, we don't want to be paying £600+ a month on car that's just our summer/fun car when our A35 is half that and we have no balloon payment so we need to be realistic ! What can we get ranging from say £30k to £45K ? I do prefer the My17.5 with the open gear linkage but it's not a deal breaker, I do want the black pack, matts would be nice and it's a Cup 250 even better 🙏 if we look at something wit 30K miles on it is it going to need a clutch soon or anything else major in terms of maintance ? Thanks.
