  1. Hi all Currently working on an Eclat down here in NZ. It has a 907 which I have done quite a bit to since acquiring the car. I have rebuilt the distributor, new plugs and leads, rebuilt and balanced carbs etc. Has new high zinc mineral oil etc in it. It seems to be smoking around 4000rpm or so, I have compression tested and all above 155psi warm. Carb floats were a little high but I have re set them now. I have read that early motors don't drain oil off the cam followers particularly well, can anyone tell me how to identify these early versions and what the fix is? When i pulled the covers off approx 250ml came out the exhaust cover side and maybe 80ml on the intake side. Wondering if the oil is building up in the cam followers and causing the smoking. Cheers Ryan
