  1. Dear Grahame, since the bonnet mechanism is only offered by only a few vendors in bits 'n pieces and not as a whole system I really don't know where to start from. I purchased the 2 catches and installed them in the bulkhead, now I can't figure out how to connect the cables, which I believe have special end points, connectors and mounting instructions....
  2. Sorry Grahame, you're right. Thanks for your advice. Regards, Savvas
  3. Hello, is there any video or manual which shows how to install the bonnet release cable in an Elan +2? I am curious how the 2 catches can work at the same time with just one cable...
  4. Thanks for your answer Steve, I can't be sure if this would apply to Giugiaro cars... However, a pair of bolts do exist behind each seat as can be seen in the picture I provided. The squeak is there too (only coming from the left hand side of the car) -it naturally follows that the problem existed before the Stevens cars... The question is how to handle the problem in the Giugiaro car?
  5. Following a social media post about the noisy bulkhead bolts in my 1987 Esprit S3, I received some useful advice as it appears in the following link: http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EGuides/EModifications/BulkheadPlate.html?fbclid=IwAR1ESZK9jax3r9OR1pLoeLTzTLhkuss_tnbGpTOcy4Tg8BASwRKa1LPofTA I'm confused since the bolt plate mentioned in the above article seems to be in the engine bay side of the bulkhead and it's not accessible. Any tips please on how to tighten the slack bolts and stop the creaking bulkhead?
  6. Hello, I am attaching a few pictures with a number of wires around the engine (1987 Esprit S3 HC). Could anyone suggest how to connect them or what's the use of them? 1. Two wires pictured in RED CIRCLES in my attachment are under the water tank. 2. One orange wire with a plug at the end is near the dipstick (pictured in a GREEN CIRCLE). 3. One cable goes to the A/C pump and a grey cable with a plug at the end looks alone... (pictured in a YELLOW CIRCLE in my attachment). Regards, Savvas
  7. Many thanks Tim, I have contacted the seller and expect his reply. Regards, Savvas
  8. Many thanks Filip! I appreciate. Regards, Savvas Thank you very much -however, I am looking for a left door latch... Many thanks Filip! I appreciate. Regards, Savvas
  9. Dear Filip, what you found is what I just need -however- as the thread shows in the relevant discussion the latch producer can not supply it. I got another interesting piece of advice from a Lotus Talk forum member about the Triumph TR7 door latch -available by Rimmer Bros in the UK. I have contacted them and I am now expecting their response. Have a look here: https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-XKC327 What do you think? Check the attached Lotus diagram and compare it with the Triumph diagram found in the Rimmer Bros site. Parts in RED circles is what I need. Regards, Savvas
  10. Dear Filip, Many thanks for your message. The door latch pictured here is from the right door and is working fine. What I need is the LEFT door latch -which is missing. Regards, Savvas
  11. Hello, Does anybody know what other cars share the S3's door latch system? I was told that it's common with some Scimitar and Triumph models. I attach a diagram and photos of the latch that I need in order to identify parts. (LH latch needed) Regards, Savvas
  12. Many thanks, I contacted them this morning and told me that nothing is available. Will call them again tomorrow. Regards, Savvas
  13. Hello, 1. I am looking for a set of exterior door mirrors for my 1987 Lotus Esprit S3. 2. And a left side (LH) door latch, complete with rods. Any help will be appreciated. Regards, Savvas
