  1. Hi all just done another freescan high revs cut in and stayed at about 1800 looked at IAC reading, and it was reading 138 engine was up to temp. Im going to take a stab and change TPS as well as only reading 89 - 90 when fully depressed. I have found the TPS sensor but cant find location of the IAC in manual. Can someone help me out with location and is it difficult to change. Thanks
  2. I will have a look thanks
  3. Yes it is the vacuum pump I was talking about so that one thing less it could be I suppose. I hope to do a run in it on Tursday so will try and save the data on freescan. I will have to get it looked at soon. Someone has said might be the map.
  4. Thanks for replys no code 22 TPS showing on freescan. Think it has a vacuum leak as the compressor keeps running every 30 secs or so for 1 or 2 secs when ignition is on, also front flap under windscreen opens but shuts within 10 mins once turned off.
  5. Yep starting to do my head in a wee bit. Did a freescan the other day the car ran and ticked over at around 1000 revs for ages spoke to someone who had a look at the screen shots and said they all looked normal. Drove to Motors by the moat about 30 miles and she ran great no issues, then on way home first stop begfore getting out the castle gates and up went the revs to about 1800 and stayed like that till i got home.
  6. Yep think I missed that post I got half way down thought nope but too late lucky no damage done. Spoke to someone who comes highly recommended he has asked for me to try and get it saved on freescan on a drive. So good excuse to take out might try on my way to motors at the moat on Sunday.
  7. Well got it working (I hate computers) car threw up one fault code 24 vehicular speed sensor (Voss) circuit 24 TIP a weak idle mixture or bad missfire can cause this below few screen shots thanks
  8. I wont be going again it was a show at the jet ski world car park. Loads of cars of all makes quite a few modde. Nice bunch of people but nearly left my front spoiler at the bottom of the entrance slope and even worse on way out. Just looking to see if I need to format the port.
  9. Morning all sorry for delay and thanks for answers. Regarding freescan I have managed to get it on my laptop but can’t seem to get a reading. Took it to a show in Margate last week never been so embarrassed it just starting revving itself at the lights, must of looked like I was having a midlife crisis.
  10. evening all After some advice I have a S4s starts from cold with no problems now (God knows why) but new issue still has hot start problem, but is now revving on its own and randomly between 900 to 2.5k when stationary. It's getting undrivable any advice help welcome. This car is really turning me to drink you sort something out another appears.
  11. Right here’s my question I have a S4s in black so quite rare. I love it and it makes me smile every time I look at it, but I don’t get to drive it much. I have just put a deposit on the Emira 2.0 auto to use as my daily, and am thinking about selling the esprit to help finance it. A few things, I appreciate that the esprit market is not that great so what price do you think I should put it up for. If I keep it, the car will become a garage queen and only get driven to meets and shows. I understand this is not great for them any opinions please. thanks
  12. Thanks so much for taking the time to look, that's a big relief I actually found the original pics when I bought the car. After zooming in on engine it looks like its the same then. Funny I just ordered some black Sikaflex off amazon will see if I can make it look a bit neater. Again thanks for your time and advice.

  14. Thanks for the info I dont think its the strut bracket its slightly below that looks like a cross member or the pannel the airbox is attached to. I will try and get a video or better pic.
  15. Good afternoon While changing my fuel filter the other day I noticed a damaged strut bracket. Looks like some rivets or bolts have come away. Can anyone tell me if this is still safe to drive (structural) and if there's a easy fix I can do. I have a 1000 mile drive next week for help for heroes. Thanks Dan
