To ask an e-bay seller to do the deal on the side and exclude e-bay is - IMHO - borderline unethical.
It's like using a realitor to find the house you are looking for and then contacting the owner and trying to do the deal directly - cutting the realitors out of the deal and saving commission.
I understand people do it all the time - but it just doesn't seem right to me. People used the e-bay service to advertise their wares and find the buyers, buyers use it to find the sellers, e-bay deserve something for that.
Nothing personal - just my opinion.

has the rumor that Lotus bought the rights to the VBD Lotus episode been confirmed?
The one i have was ripped from the Speed broadcast - it would be nice to get the real DVD.

I too just did a fluid renew - bought mine from PUK - took 3weeks to get it but no problems.
I ordered another round (a couple of weeks ago) so I can have some on the shelf.

IMHO - save the money on the de-cat pipe and hollow out your existing cat if there is any sign of deterioration to the inner honeycomb. You'll need a new cat anyway to pass MOT and that's where you should spend the money - get the high-flow one and then you can decide to leave it on when you re-fit it next year for MOT testing.
I was surprised to find a few chunks of cat honeycomb in my exhaust when I swapped out the muffler - so I took a flashlight I found that the entire cat was gone - hollow. I passed emissions only 1000 miles ago - so I do not think I lost the whole cat over the last 1000 miles, but since I passed - either the car can pass without a cat or it just blew out.

I just pulled my stock exhaust off my SE - surprised to see how big is was.... 38lbs!
I replaced it with a custom job - 2.5" piping that Y's into dual exits with quad tips out each side - looks good, sounds good. It is not too loud IMHO, and does not sound like a buzzing honda with a fart-can.

Well -looking at my AutoArt Esprit model - it has a tow hook (no kidding). So I look on my car - sure enough - it has a matching hle in the lower grill where the model has the tow hook - but I there is no place to mount anything....

yep - all my cars end up too low...
I have a winch bolted into the floor of my garage - and I use it to tow a disabled vechile up the driveway and onto my lift.
So if I ever break down - I get towed to the house and then winch it onto the lift so I can fix it....
I though all the euro cars has tow hooks - no?

My 89 SE made for the US does not have a tow hook - I would like to fit one.
Can some one point me to where I can get one - and more importantly - where does it attach?

I have Porterfields on my 89 SE right now. I also use them on my Lincoln LS - which I autocross in Street Prepared E Class. I am on my 5th set in 44,000miles but like them a lot - no fade and no dust. I get a discount on the Lincoln pads through LLSOC.com and Esprit pads through Lotuscarclub.org

I found it!
Dupli-Color Engine Enamel (Ceramic 500 degree)
DE 1607 Chev Orange/Red
The DE 1632 Chrysler Industrial Red was close (so close hard to see the difference in the can tops) but is a little more red and not as orange as the DE 1607.
I touched up a few nicks in the chargecooler / intake can't see a trace.

Andre - I see PUK sells 20mm for the front and has 25mm or 35mm for the rear - which ones are you using?
