Always thought these were a bit of a modern day myth but seems to work on an Emira.
George is a local YouTuber in Exeter and the traffic officer Owen turns up at a lot of our local car events (in his own time) promoting road safety.

Evora Insurance renewed with LV - increased from £348 to £425
20% increase for no other reason than quote “spray costs have gone up. Labour rates have gone up. Parts prices have gone up. Parts are harder to get. More uninsured drivers on the road and finally more vehicles getting stolen each year!
Wish I’d never asked. And I still hate Insurance Companies.
Had it 5 years this week. Just hit 20k mileage. Going to uncover it lunchtime, give it a treat and put a couple of miles on her. 😊

and hopefully it gets back without damage/interior fag burns, child sick etc.....depending on which trusted VW employee gets to use it.
Well, picking it up tomorrow evening after work! - 24 days later.

Today useless fact I’ve just read.
Golfer Jose Maria Olazábal holds the world record for the longest putt ever holed, completed during the 1999 Ryder Cup team's Concorde flight to the United States, draining a putt the entire cabin length.
The ball was in motion for 26.17 seconds, meaning Concorde, travelling at 1,270mph, had travelled 9.232 miles.

“I know what you’re thinking …did he fill up with regular unleaded or premium ultimate unleaded ? ….Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But this being a Fiesta Mild Hybrid Ecoboost …the most powerful 1litre car in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?”

Do you have it in writing, simple clear English, that they are formally offering, and you have accepted, the extension of the 1 month "right to return" to 2 months? If you don't have in writing good luck with that. So, send them an email, and confirm receipt, stating that they have made that offer and you have accepted it, and if you hear nothing from them to the contrary, their acceptance is deemed to have been given.
Yes we do have it in writing and made sure of that before the month expired. Still not back yet so Yesterdays update phone call from VW (to my daughter unfortunately and not me) said we are going to keep the car for another week so we can put some miles on it to double check the engine management light won’t come back on and we’ve got to the route of the problem properly before giving the car back to you - a member of staff will be driving the vehicle home each night to make sure the fault does not occur.
Ok they've had it back this time over two weeks so what difference will another week make especially as my daughter will put about 800 miles this coming week on their 23 plate T-Roc Courtesy car and not her own.I finished work last night at 7.45pm and I thought I’d take a drive past the dealership to see if someone had taken it home for the weekend.
It was in the same space it’s been in since Tuesday. I’m going to pop back later with the spare key and check mileage. Be interesting to see what mileage they do over the next week or how much bullshit they tell us when we pick up in a week.

No. I’m definitely a forgotten about was going to be a customer but not anymore individual. I had asked 3 times (sometime before Emira test, during, and sometime after for a trade in figure on my sport race) Still zero/nothing/nada and that was now over two months ago. Not particularly impressed with the lack of communication from Hendy in Exeter so basically when I’m ready I’ll go to a more Interested dealership - plenty of good one’s about.

My advice is to return the car to them and get your money back in full NOW.
That car will never be right. It's a "Friday" car. Get your money back and vote with your feet. There are plenty of other cars out there.
You are correct. It’s most definitely a Friday car. Saying that we are on ‘free motoring’ for the next 4-5 weeks at least so in my opinion no hurry. Also soon as we hand it back and say money back, we’ve no car so this way at least it gives us a month to go car shopping again.

£25K spent on a low mileage 2 year old car from a main dealer 2 weeks ago today. Been back 3 times now and been given a Courtesy car each time as engine management light keeps coming on. Owned the car 14 days and had it on the drive for the only 3 nights so far (courtesy car 11)
Under the terms and conditions 1 months to change mind and hand car back for a full refund…. and it just might happen.
Well one week on and where have we got?
Hadn’t heard a dickie all week so by 4pm Wednesday afternoon I just turned up.
An apologetic service manager sheepishly came over and said at the moment they are struggling to find the problem. They apparently keep taking parts off new vehicles, putting them on ours, and testing. And Engine Management light then reappears.
I had an another telephone call Friday afternoon saying the same after more part swaps. So as of today we’ve had the car on our drive 3 nights and VW have had it back 17 and it’ll obviously be Monday earliest before I hear anything else so that’ll be up to 19 nights.
I have already had it confirmed that from the date we do get it back we’ll be given another full month to own it and then decide if we want it so effectively starting again. In the meantime my daughter has been given a new T-Roc that she’s been driving daily for the last week putting miles on their car at no cost to us so at least that something. Bottom line is not too happy but not costing us anything at all with the use of their courtesy car putting mileage on theirs not ours.
Still surprises me though that a main dealership can’t diagnose a fault with all the plug ins and diagnostics available to the actual manufacturers.
