  1. 100 ish 2002+ Esprits in the UK does sound very high considering they cant be seen or found anywhere. I thought the number was around 20-30.
  2. Just wanted to see if anyone knows how many of the last V8 Esprits i.e the one with the round rear lights were made in the end for the UK? Thanks
  3. I have been casually looking to buy another V8 for a present to my father for the last year. The prices which I am willing to pay are:
  4. Esprit V8 prices seem to be dropping alot lately. They pretty much froze for a year or two but are starting to tank again. I am in the market for a V8 but the right colour just hasnt come along nor a wrong colour with a 2002+ rear light conversion etc. I offered
  5. Anyone know how much a full high quality respray (low quality price) in metallic black will cost? In the event he cant find one in this colour are there any downsides to a new respray? Additionally anyone know how much the following will cost including and excluding painting and fitting: V8 rear wing (later style) 2002 rear light conversion US centre style exhaust and grill Thanks Superdave, do you have pics of your car and price. He might be swayed by a titanium colour if he is unable to find a black one. PM me if you prefer. Thanks
  6. Have a friend who is very interested in buying his first Esprit. He wants a Black car and is looking for either a GT3 or V8. For the V8 it must be a yr 2000 or newer car. For the GT3 he would like one with a new-style interior and if possible one with a V8 rear wing. Thanks
  7. Thought I would ask this question as it always puzzles me why powerful engines cannot last as long as normal engines. We see every day Fords, BMWs, Mercs etc all have mileages in excess of 100K and yet a car like a V8 Esprit is probably considered on its last legs by 40K miles. OK so the reason why we probably do not see high mileage Ferraris, Lambos, V8 Esprits etc is likely due to the petrol costs in running these cars meaning owners will tend to only drive them on special occasions or at weekends. Also I understand that the V8's etc have more complex technology and engineering in them compared to normal car engines but does anyone know whether a V8 engine in an Esprit could easily go to 150K miles without any problems providing petrol costs etc wasnt an issue. I just find it difficult to comprehend why we spend so much money on these 'supercars' only to be told to expect them to last only 40-50K miles.
  8. Calm down folks it was only a light hearted comment. I am not a hardcore member of LEW and thus did not realise LEW is owned/run by Kato using his own personal funds. Kato LEW is a superb site and of course I will do whatever I can to support it. Again, I didnt know that by buying via LEW that LEW benefits. Therefore will buy both DVDs via the site.
  9. On a lighter note which of the two Esprit DVDs are better?
  10. Been trying to buy the Esprit DVD on ebay for
  11. Ok so you've owned an S1 Elise for 4 yrs and have decided to move to the next stage. You are looking to spend 25K.
