This looks like a nice little project... Even sprayed underneath. Things to look out for? Brightwork, cills, glass, instruments, good gearbox, anything else?

I know this sounds crazy, but would never buy a car with no doors fitted lol   Although lovely colur and has had a lot of work,  shame to see it did not get finished by the previous owner,  projects i always need to feel sorry for,  like the green elite recently on ebay for about 200 sterlings,  with a lmost everything missing, but it was green and i felt soory for it.   I hope it found a good home lol.

I'm with Dan, although for a slightly different but related reason. Whilst I cannot paint a car but can happily do the mechanical side, so a nicely painted one would supposedly cut down on the work I'd have to pay to be done, it means I have no way to see any damage that may have existed.

Very good point.  I was amazed by the number of gel-coat repairs obviously done by the factory (under the original primer) on my very early Elite shell - literally dozens and dozens .  They got better at making them as time went by hopefully!
