Finally got the heater fixed! Was a nightmare finding the prob, but an easy fix in the end.

Have you got your bushes done yet?

Dave

Was it some sort of flap in the drivers footwell? Not done the bushes yet mate, been layed up with a bad knww since the first week of Jan. Is the offer of a hand still on? Planning to do them during feb along with the back brakes.

Hi All,

NMEG goes to Mars to take a leak!!!

we had a good turnout today and the weather was kind to us, mild but nippy and dry. We got 6 esprits out to famous land marks in cheshire and manchester.

Phil (noneshallpass), Graham (Backmaker) with Backmarker Jnr, Dave and Anita (oneshot + other shot), Andy (Andycs3) & Girlfriend (sorry I am bad with names), Dave (Davebarney) & Girlfriend (oops twice with the name forget, you can both give me a thick ear next time) and little old me all met promptly (cough, cough!!) at the little thief in Middlewich for teas and bacon butties and to go over to days flight plans.

Initially we headout hooning over some fine cheshire roads, zigzag around the county until we arrived about 10.30 at Jodrell Bank entrance. The hoonig was good but sunday drivers were out in force early today and so that kept some of the enthusiastic driving at bay. When we got there, a quick conflab resulted in a toilet run being set up. JB didnt open up until 11am and so we thought lets line the esprits up and have a photo op. Little did we and others waiting to go in that the barrier was automatic and we could have gone in! Doh! Still meant we got great photos though. We were about to head off for the motorway when thought bugger it lets wait until it opens. The lady at JB asked if we were from a car club as we all had similar sports cars and so we explained briefly who we were. This meant that we got group discount to go in JB

First, a personal thanks to Alex for his hospitality last night. A few drinks, then a curry served by the equally delicious Amy

Another enjoyable NMEG day blessed with fine weather. A decent turnout, with six Esprits, and six different models. As well as the reg'lars it was good to see Andy representing the G-cars in his fire breathing S3 - one pop was so loud I actually felt it :popo:

After a hoon around some Cheshire lanes led by Alex, we stopped for a photo opportunity outside Jodrell Bank.

After passing through a cloud of feathers, and seeing a fresh pheasant in the middle of the road, I was expecting to hear that one of us was responsible for its demise. You can see some of the feathers in my grille in this pic.

IMG_0892.png

To accommodate Graham Charles_Godfrey.jpg we changed plans and went in. Sadly, the visitor's centre is much less impressive than the last time I went, but we enjoyed the 3D cinema show.

After an impressively quick trip to Mars, we returned to the cars for a short motorway trip to the Imperial War Museum North, a fitting destination for Holocaust Memorial Day.

After lunch in the cafe, we spent the rest of the day wandering round the museum.

It's a well thought out exhibition with some interesting displays. Well worth a visit.

The consensus was to abandon plans to visit the Lowry Centre in order to avoid getting caught up in the Old Trafford match traffic.

I trust everybody got back safely. I hope you all noted that it doesn't ALWAYS rain in Manchester.

You're all welcome back to black pudding land any time.

The full set of pics can be seen here

Here's to the February hoon. We're all hoping the AEG can agree a route to the meeting point by then

More speed, less haste

Hello everybody!

Great photos, pity i couldn't make the day because i would have enjoyed the Lowry, did quite a lot of work up over there when they were building it. it has certainly transformed the salford quay's. Hope we can have a BIG turn out for next month, i'm even going to wash mine.............

Yeah........big thanks to Alex and Phil for organising the first hoon of 2008.

Some good roads and lots of culture.

Both Rob and I enjoyed JB and the museum. Toilet facilities at both were excellent as Anita and myself can verify.

Good to meet Andy and his girlfriend. I'm afraid, like Alex, I too have lost her name. Hope we see both of you again.

On the one hand it was good to bump into Dodgy Dave working hard, but on the other hand I think we all felt a little let down.

Thanks to Phil for the escort into and out of Manchester. I think I'd still be there without such assistance.

Rob did take some pics, but his incontinent father doesn't know how to get them loaded onto this site. If anyone has a Noddy Guide please enlighten this old duffer

See you all next month together with a few of today's absentees hopefully.

Graham.

ps this MIGHT take you to some of Robs photies Manchester hoon

Hi Laura,

Firstly, thanks for the response.

Secondly some of the images are now on photobucket........wow, that's a first for me.

Thirdly, I can't see any "img" button?

Sorry,

Graham.

ps. Just found an icon which says "insert image". Is this what I use or how about "insert link"?

Too many choices for a simple soul like me

An excellent day out all round guys.... a big thankyou for letting me tag along, Alicja and i had a really good day.

But i only made it home at around 10pm last night, as id promised the young lady sunday lunch, and we ended up out near congleton because of match day to get one. So i haven't had a chance to go through all the photo's, although Alicja was very snappy happy, so we have about a hundered of varying quality

I look forward to seeing everyone again, at another meet. And i shall get some good photo's loaded up at the end of the week.

And my battered little esprit did manage to keep up on the motorway fine at that speed, but any faster and i think she'd have been struggling

Clicky

Also got a spotted on Pistonheads, if anyone is as interested as me :popo:

Sorry I missed out too. I got the all clear to act like a 10 year old from the hospital yesterday  . I'm not back at work till friday so I'm off out today for a mini hoon while it's still dry. All being well should be flying with the Squadron in Feb.

I think what you need Andy is for someone to post a reply (which is what I'm doing) and this then lets you post some more pics.

See if it'll let you play again.

Good shots by the way.
