I had an experience flight on Concorde from Heathrow to Birmingham (organised by the local paper). Very little fuel and no luggage, he took off from Heathrow with full power and afterburners going. Certainly was an experience!

My Esprit has a tracker fitted - an actual "Tracker" one. I paid for the lifetime subscription. After 5 years they offer to replace for a discounted price. So I had a new one fitted. The guy that did it said he wouldn't take out the old one as if thieves know there is a tracker and they find to old one they will stop looking for the active one. I actually think my car now has three tracker units on it (only one is active!).

One of the reasons I don't use any technology that is cloud based. I used to have Hive but have removed it as it was a cloud based system. I run my own servers and am only reliant on electricity (although I do have UPS's) and the network connection (fibre to the house with 4G backup).

We have no lampposts - the verges are cut once in a blue moon (single track road so does cause a problem). Bins collected once every 2 weeks. £3550 a year

Sewerage isn't paid for in the council tax. It is paid to the water company. You pay for the delivery of water and the disposal of waste (including the drainage system for rainwater). We don't pay for sewerage only for the delivery of water as we are on a septic tank. Hence our water bill is small compared to others although we do have to pay to have the septic tank emptied every so often.

Just watched a programme on Amazon Prime about the sinclair C5. it interviewed some of the key players in the development. Interestingly Lotus had a part to play. They were involved in the design. The guy in charge of the project for Sinclair Vehicles Ltd said to Clive Sinclair that he would only take the job if Clive bought Lotus. They negotiated the deal only for it to be usurped by David Wickens. Who knows what Lotus would have been if Clive Sinclair had actually bought it?

I tried out the ASL (autmatic Speed limiter) in my car the other day. It uses speed sign recognition and GPS to determine the appropriate speed limit. There I was tootling along a 30mph limited road (through a village) and the ASL thought it was a 50mph limit. I think there is some way to go! I can see legal claims being made for incorrect ASL speed limits and people getting into trouble.

Two things: 1. Getting this out for a spruce up 2. Getting the new pool cover on and sorted.

Yep mine does - fortunately it can be turned off.
