Pop up headlight washer cover replacement

Has anyone replaced the pop up washer covers?  I've sourced a couple of replacements as mine had all of a sudden gone bubbly but not sure the best way to remove the existing covers without damaging the washer function?

Hi Bruce

The simplest way is to get someone to activate the headlight washers (headlights on, press the windscreen washer button 5 times) and when it pops up you grab it. The covers just clip on so are really easy to swap. 

The washer rises with water pressure so holding them up doesn't do any harm. The spring is surprisingly strong so it isn't comfortable, you might want to wear a glove.

My driver side washer black thing sometimes sits a little proud recently it seems to work ok although I must say it lost a little of pressure ( a bit like me as you get old) ? 
I pressed it carefully back into it slot as such I wonder if there’s something more fundamental worn or it could be some tree road debris got lodged ?
