Lotus Esprit V8 (1997)

Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo

January 1997, iconic boomerang dash model.

Calypso red with magnolia hide, piped in red.

Red carpets.

Standard running gear, no power boost trickery required, it’s fast enough as it is!

Full gearbox rebuild 4yrs ago (Esprit Engineering), the change is now positive and precise. Clutch and cables also replaced at the same time as the gearbox was done, with the car only having covered around 1,000 miles since then.

Present owner for the last 4yrs who is a genuine Lotus-nut, has now taken this good car into a different league altogether.

Extensively maintained by PNM (Wallasey) during this tenure with recent full suspension replacement and brake upgrade (highly recommended by the way).

It has the rare and desirable OZ Futuras wheels, all in immaculate condition, with good matching tyres (235 17’s at the front, 285 18’s at the rear).

The bodywork is in super condition -albeit with some minor stone chips on the front end and around the side pods. There is no crazy-paving on the panels. It has been cherished, loved and pampered, topped off with recent expenditure of £1,500 for full ceramic paint detailing.

Not satisfied with just the bodywork being clean, the underside has been attended to with a dry-ice clean and the chassis has been Dinitrol-treated so the underside is preserved and looking as good as the rest of the car.

It is kept under a cover in a collection with my other cars on trickle charge, only used in the fine weather.

The car comes with lots of invoices, 3 keys and a wonderful V8 soundtrack.

Owned by a Lotus-fan (having 3x Esprit’s at present), this one needs to go to make room for a Sport 350
