Industrial engineering lotus sump mould

Hi I've recently acquired this incredibly well engineered moulding cast for a lotus sump I assume .

Incredibly heavy at 50 kg at least 14 inches deep and 32 long x 22 .5 inches wide. Beautifully carved segmented sections of tropical hardwoods forming the entire casting a work of art in itself , wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it at all in particular what it might of been from , took it to my local lotus mechanic who didn't recognise the sump despite being a lotus engineer for 40 years so I'm hoping someone here might be able to shed some light on it for me .
