Brake probs.

Recommended Posts

When I initially hit the brake pedal it doesn't move virtually at all. Then if I keep the pressure on it starts to ..... sink, is the only description I can give. I go from no feel to loads of feel (really where it should be in the first place).

Is it my master cylinder or is this quite normal for an S4?

Mine's a firm squishyness from start to finish - -if there is such a term. Breaking hard in the dry is confident with great feel. Look for uneven wear on the discs. Other than driving another S4 you're gonna need the assistance of a brake geek - ah - like - Jonathan.

Forgot to add that I have the Brembos fitted. I believe the older S4 had pre war cast iron discs and jelly pads as standard fit - that could be the problem. ;-)
