Gear lever and gearbox translator repair kits

My list of jobs-to-do is growing.

In addition to brakes upgrade and new springs and dampers, my particularly sloppy gear lever has fallen under the spotlight. I think that the rear-of-the-gearbox translators are OK but I need to inspect closely before I know for sure.

Has anyone used the Lotus-supplied (or other) kits to refurbish these assemblies?

If so, I would be most grateful for advice and experiences.

Hello,

I used the Lotus geartranslator kit in my 1990 SE and I'm very happy with it. The included rubber protective boots are a little difficult to fit but once fitted they protect the ball joints very well.
