Sensor question?

Hello!

I found this sensor (see the picture) and the wires are yellow/grey(slate) and purple yellow. Is this a Vehicle Speed Sensor?

On Servise notes Section EMH4 page 66 these wires refer to flywheel sensor. YS and PY to flywheel sensor.

Is there an error on these wire colours?

On Service notes Section MG the flywheel sensor wire colours are YR and PG

I know where the flywheel sensor is and I know the wire colours.

I have intermittent error code 41. Does someone know if this VSS have somethin to do with error code 41?

IB that is the VSS - however not the flywheel sensor - it read the a nocthed ring on the hub. The service notes Section MG sheet 5a - VSS color are Yellow and Purple.

Trouble Code 41 indicates an incorrect MEM-CAL has been installed or it is faulty and it

must be replaced.

Possible causes include:

1) Faulty connection due to MEM-CAL not locked in place.

2) Incorrect MEM-CAL installed.

3) Faulty MEM-CAL.

great...now i have a code 41. will post if i figure it out.

what is the donor car for a computer, so i can buy one and solder in a new MEMCAL? i dont want to disturb the Lotus computer as of yet.
