Nevermind, I'm sure you're in good company here when you think you've bought a diamond only to discover later it isn't quite what you thought it was. I've done that with almost every car I've bought.

In fact the only car that appears to be in exactly the state that I thought it was at the time of purchase is the current Esprit .. well, apart from the alternator/charging problem.
