Loose mirror

Driver (left) mirror is loose. It wasn't a few days ago. How do I correct this? I don't want to break it as it will probably be bloody expensice to replace.

It is the whole unit, like the swivel needs tightened.

there is a sleeve, black plastic that twists and gives access to a allen head svrew that tightens it . . . . I just fitted a pair of wing mirrors to an older unit, and they look a bit too slanted back . . . i guess I am used to the old mirrors that stood out like ears . . .but these seem pretty slanted back . . . looking into adjusting them . . .but does not seem to be a way . . .

While we're on the subject, the metal cage bit inside the mirror often breaks. It's a sacrificial part that is designed to break if someone smacks your mirror. Saves ripping it off your door completely!

If these do go, you can get them as a seperate part from Citroen in the UK.. don't think you can in the US as the CX was possibly not released there.

I've heard before people outside the UK having to buy a complete mirror unit, as Lotus don't list the cage bit seperately.

So, bear it in mind if this does break.. you can get them in the UK for a few
