Bit of T-cut and it'll buff out no problem :-)

I wonder if it occurred to the guy that he could use a single pick-axe more than once?

I don't think it would be too difficult to track the purchase down. It's not the sort of thing you're likely to forget. Guy walks in a hardware store and buys seven identical picks-axes.

Actually scrub that. You could walk into Homebase or B&Q wearing an 'I'm going to kill my wife' tee-shirt, purchase a chainsaw and no one would bat an eyelid :-)

May: DON'T hit it with a hammer!

Clarkson: Why?

May: Cause it's the tool of a pikey.

Or it's Tracy Emin's latest masterpiece, 'Carnage of the roads'. Coming to the Tate Modern this winter.

It's great the way the police are guarding it in case someone's going to steal it!

Ironically it's probably easily repairable - new tailgate, rear window, roof, front window and bonnet. I doubt anything serious has been hit in the engine since the axes are so off centre and having penetrated fully, probably haven't hit anything serious.

Compare that with James' little prang and likely write-off and it really isn't fair.
