You're pic just reminded me that I must chase up on my new header / expansion tank. Mine's rusty at the top and not holding pressure. Got one made up out of stainless steel, looks very pretty but they put the brackets in the wrong place

As to why does it take a long time to do all the things you want to do - Don't know about you, but I'd much rather be in my garage tinkering on my cars instead of doing more sodding household DIY! My garage is my domain - Only mates allowed who come round, empty my fridge and talk complete bollocks while I'm busy fiddling

painting engine parts vastly retards oxidation/reduction. i can't be bothered, since it needs such frequent touchups.

never hurts being touched up. though i did notice the nipple on your fuel pressure regulator is missing. was somebody too rough on it?
