Yet Another Turbo Upgrade Project

Wayne,

That looks like a nice piece of work :)

What impact does it have on the boot floor? do you have to make much in the way of modifications to get the floor back in?

Hi Nellie;

Yes I have to modify the boot insert.

The semi-circular "bump out" to allow for the flat tire has to go away. I intend to make a complete replacement (ABS-not a big deal) so as not to destroy the original boot insert. Many steps to this project, but I should have a "real intercooler" system when done. The goal is to have sustainable boost and timing basically forever, based on a whole bunch of parameters.

Hi Mark,

Yes there's only so many ways to "cut the cake" with all the constraints imposed by the packaging. I my case I had to relocate the heater lines down out of the way, rotate the clutch slave cylinder 180 *, build a new header tank, and re-shape the boot insert, in addition to building the intercooler, piping and header tank for the intercoolers.
