Very Cool! Very Blue Peter as noted. What was the show where they used to showcase model railways back in the 70's? They used to use some of the same perspectives to creat a sense of realism from the camera angle.

Why fake when it's more fun making actual models look like the real thing.

MULTIPLE IMAGES REMOVED - BIBS - ETA (Owen, this is a thread about the website which easily transforms normal images to look like they've been taken using the tilt-shift technique, not a thread about your models so please stick to topic.)

If you want to do it without using flickr and have Photoshop it's not that hard. open an image, change feather on selection tool to about 30 on a 72dpi 800x600 image, select middle of image, then inverse selection, then apply lens blur, done! I just inversed again and applied a sharpen to the centre of the image, then I cropped. Results below.
