Ebay Sales

Just looking on Ebay today and noticed a blue NA bidding is at around 5K still with 5 days to go, IMO it looks a right dog and Ive seen this bloke on Ebay a lot, but hes honest and tells you what your buying, so are prices going up again?? There seems to be a few shifting off LEW as well in past few weeks, obviously you dont know what the final purchase price is after negotiations.

Thats the car that Nick was trying to sell raffle tickets for a few months back.

I guess he's given up on that idea now...

Apart from the droopy o/s headlight pod, I can't see much wrong with it from the pics. Infact I reckon it looks pretty sorted with the S300 kit and S4s wheels.

What makes you say its a dog Ian ??

i imagine Ian means the Engine picture.

Now i've never seen the point in overly pretty engines myself eg: cromed this/anodised that etc, in fact my Chargecooler and plenem are really crying out to be painted, which they will be - when they are removed for some real work

Yes the engine looks a bit unloved, I just think the whole car looks awful, but hey thats just my opinion.. someone else could fall in love with it and looking at the bidding a few people have already.

You talked a while back about making yours a sport 300 look alike,

which would make it look pretty much the same as this one really

I think Esprit prices will always be too subjective to

determine either by for sale or by 'achieved' sale prices.

A manifold, C service, clutch and windscreen can add up to

a 3-4 thousand pound bill on a car that is in very good condition

with low mileage, full service history etc.

The fact some guy bought it for ten grand instead of paying twelve

for another one just as minty but with the above work done, will

never be known. You yourself have fished for a sale? (saw on PH )

I sold my last Esprit for 25% less than i originally had it advertised

for sale (and even that was a grand less than the agreed value!).

Most owners i have spoken to took a considerable offer or reduced

their price before sale, so the classifieds don't tell the whole truth.

Good points Paul,I did ponder the flared arches and the S4S wheels but I now think the arches on the V8s are much more appropriate, and give a softer and more refined look, pretty happy with the look of my car. I think you can easily overdo it, these cars are beautiful just the way they are, a twin exhaust is imminent though I will say thinking back when the said car was being raffled it did look a bit special.. is this really the same car??
