I am no expert, but that does not look like any Esprit chassis I have seen before and if it is, then it has been significantly modified?

Caught between a rock and a hard place in a catch 22 situation, So its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Your damned if you do, but your damned if you don't so shut your cock!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaah! The spirit of the Lotus 40 lives on. Put a big, stonking V8 in a weak backbone chassis and try to get it to handle.

No thanks. Give me the real thing any day. (The real thing being an S1.)

Just had a quick read through the ebay listing and he lists the chassis as voltswagon!

Think who ever buys this car could have trouble sourcing spares as there looks to be a hell of a mixture on there. However personally thing it looks nice, probably goes well and would be a nice little track car.

even if the S1 guys hate me now  -but I like the McLaren curved-styling a little more

interesting thing: how does he know that a 918 engine will be 'plug&play' on a Citroen gearbox !? Sounds like a lack of knowledge about the differences between S1/S2/S2.2/S3/S4... by this guy.. :(

second mystery: is there really a small split-pin holding the gearschift-cable, and secure it at once ?? wicked I say, wicked

  • 3 weeks later...

Am I the only one freaked out that they cut a section out of the trailing arm to clear the tire? :hrhr:

By the way, those tires are the old P7 Cinturatos, as found on Countach back in the day . . . last sold in the late 80s or early 90s, IIRC. . .
