New Rad and fans

Ive got to replace the rad and fans on my 88 n/a stevens. The matrix is still water tight but the frame has disolved due to that bloody sponge they fitted!!! Has any one fitted the new type of fan with the curved blades and are they any better ( think there were some at the malvern show). The shroud was in 5 seperate bits as well but the modern fans seem to be fitted through the matrix so that could save some cost. Would probably go for a 3 core which made a huge difference on my old excel. Any ideas or recomendations most welcome
